A 3D printed AR-15 lower that holds up under fire.

Too bad you can't print barrels......

Because you just torched the rifling right outta the first few inches of that one.

As for testing a Lower, firing it puts no stress on it.
How about seeing how many times you can put in and take out the pistol grip screw, the take-down pins and the buffer assembly? That'd be more relevant to testing its strength.

The first lower they test fired lasted 6 rounds before the section that holds the buffer tube snapped off. Test firing does stress the lower.

Looks like they beefed up the areas around the buffer tube and the upper part of the lower receiver.

They did some stuff with the takedown pins too.

Hmmm, I wouldn't consider SLA the same as 3D printing.

You can get one for the pre-panic price of a DD rifle, ~$1200.

Wait, you guys actually used that 3D printing technology that to make this? That's wild! I thought the original designers were having some big dispute with people aboutusing their product to make weapons. Just imagine in the future the weapons anyone will be able to print.
