Default Is it possible to?

Convert an M1 carbine/ 30 carbine to a .357 MANGUN?
The reason/s I ask are...
.357 Magnum is about .50 cents a shot vs 1.00 a shot for the .30 carbine
It's easier to find .357Magnum
More weight options then just 110 grains
FMJ/HP/SJHP & many other options then just FMJ.

I say the .357MAG cause they are almost identical...

Is this a retarded question? It seems to me, that it would be a much better option. I'm just saying. Thanks for listening.

In that case can someone move this. I don't own an m1 Carbine, the thought just came to me. Seems like it but be a decent seller.

If you want more variety in ammunition I would suggest you learn to handload rather than try converting your carbine. There are a lot of projectile and powder options available for loading the .30 carbine and it will drastically reduce your per round cost.

I also agree with BP bob getting the rimmed cartridge to fit and feed in a semi-auto would probably be a royal pain.

Suggest online ammo purchasing for a better price on ammo. Example? http://www.sgammo.com/catalog/rifle-...ion/30-carbine
Haha I didn't take it into account, the .357 being rimmed. & those are the best .30 carbine prices I've ever seen!!! Makes me want to buy one now. Lol

I remember seeing adds for 45 Win Mag and 45 ACP conversions way back when and I thought I saw something about a 7.62x25 one recently.
