Hello All
I am helping a friend who is fiduciary and is trying to figure out how to transfer / sell a JC Higgins Model 30 (583.70), as part of estate sale. Since this seems to be made before serialization mandate on Guns (mfg date is mid 1950’s). How would a sale or transfer be done? Any and all advice would be helpful Thank you. |

I bought/sold a vintage 22 rifle w/o a serial number,
if I recall the DROS form stated no serial number.

PPT like normal. The DROS form with just say "NSN" No Serial Number in the serial number box. Alternatly, they can transfer it directly to any California resident that has a 03FFL and COE since it is a C&R gun.
Those are cool guns, built by High Standard for sale through Sears in the 50-60's |

I had the following in my notes from an earlier DOJ webinar.
No Serial Number: If the firearm is a C&R long gun or handgun and lacks a serial number (never had one), then the serial number for the DROS is “2antique” and for the 4473 and A&D, use NSN. |
