Default 5.45x39 Uppers for the AR Platform

I'm wondering about getting one, and have the following questions:

1. How many people have these?

2. Any issues that are unique to them?

3. What magazines do they take?

4. Anyone know where to buy one?

Thanks!

I think this is in the wrong part of the forum.

Not really. Just be careful of old corrosive ammo. It's tougher to clean an AR and if you don't do it in hours from firing or even days corrosion will occur. Use windex or an ammonia solution and warm water. What you should really do is spend more and buy non-corrosive.

They have 5.45 magazines out there. I had 5 sent to my FFL for modding to a 10/30. PM me for his info. He may have more but you need an FFL that can mod it to CA law.

Default 5.45x39 magazines - Alexander Arms

If you can find one.... Several years ago, Alexander Arms made 10 round 5.45x39 magazines. These occasional come up for sale on Gunbroker and AR15.com.
