Our new SHORT RANGE RIFLE TARGET SYSTEM uses our STANDARD HANGER and a 5 inch Carriage Bolt GRADE 8 to hang OUR plates (hole location is important to proper function) at an extreme angle to deflect bullet energy and fragments. MAXIMUM VELOCITY at the target is 2800 fps. So all you AK guys can have a blast shooting steel as close as 10 yards!! 308's work too at short range. 5.56 and other high velocity rounds should use heavy or frangible bullets under 100 yards. As long as the velocity is 2800 (at the target) or less you are good to go with minimal damage to the steel. Otherwise the steel will get chewed up quickly. .

Hanger kits are HIGH VIS POWDER COATED or RAW. Kits include hanger, 5" GRADE 8 carriage bolt, 2 self locking nuts and 1 beam clamp.

GRADE 8 bolts are HIGH TENSILE and will withstand bullet impacts ON THE PLATE without shearing the bolt head the way softer non grade bolts will from this focused torque. These bolts are tough but can be deformed from direct bullet impacts. We only sell GRADE 8 bolts and highly recommend their use to reduce repairs. GRADE 8 carriage bolts are almost impossible to find locally so we advise buying a couple extra just in case.
