Default Can anyone help me appraise / value this rifle

Mauser chambered in 7mm. It's used and been around for a while, it's C&R / Cash n Carry.

The barrel looks custom and is stamped JIM STRUGEON

Other markings on the weapon include PREDUZECE 44 and MOD 98

I'm very much looking at selling and getting rid of this... So any info on what it may be worth would be awesome, as I'm totally in the blank.

7mm what? Are you sure it was not left in the original 8x57 chambering? It appears to be built on a Yugoslavian Mauser. Can't help much more than that.

Honestly, I have no clue. It's been in my collection for a while. Bought it a few years back off a co-worker whos dad died and had gotten the gun from him. He didn't know anything about guns and wanted it gone. All he told me at the time was that it was a 7mm and that it was a Mauser.

Considering his dad was a big hunter, my best bet would be a 7MAG, but it could easily be a 7mm-08 or just a 7mmMauser.

I'm not a hunter, or into larger rifles, so I'm blank.

I'd say about 200 to start it

it's a yugoslavian mauser receiver rebarreled and sporterized

For safety if not marked for caliber you are going to have to make a chamber cast and figure out the caliber or have a gunsmith do it.

The receiver was most likely from a German K98 rifle that was captured by the Yugos and then refurbished at the PREDUZECE 44 factory. Model 98's have a regular sized Mauser receiver unlike the shorter Yugo M24 and M48 receivers.

Any ideas on what it'd catch? Trying to hit a ball park figure on what I can charge for it, trying to get rid of it.

I would say ~500 tops. My father is into older, sporterized guns and would probably buy it. Next time I see him I'll tell him to check this board.

I'd guess about $100 to $150. Somebody might want it for the receiver and bolt so they can build their own custom Mauser.

Depends on what caliber and the shape it's in. To me it looks like a boat paddle but everyone has different tastes.

You want a number, I say $250 maybe $300 if you can find out what it is chambered for.
