Post "Armed gun-rights advocates rally at Washington state capitol"

A gun-rights rally drew about 50 people, mostly armed, to the steps of the Capitol on Saturday morning for a demonstration they hoped would end with their arrest. To raise money for bail, some protesters hawked caps with "Fight Tyranny — Shoot Back" printed on them and sold out.

The plan was to walk into the Capitol after a few speeches and carry guns into the Legislature's viewing gallery, in defiance of rule changes made in January that banned the open carry of firearms there. However, the Washington State Patrol kept the gallery doors locked after the building opened to the public at 11 a.m. The crowd, including two state legislators, walked through the marble hallways, with some lining up to knock on the doors to the House gallery and Gov. Jay Inslee's office.

No one was arrested, and the State Patrol reported no disturbances. The protesters went instead to the closed gate of the governor's mansion and prayed.

I'm sure we could organize a few, large rallies in California.

Do have a rally at the state capitol in Sacramento, if you wish, but don't bring any guns with you, even unloaded
or you will be arrested by the state police and SPD/SO officers.

Besides that, there were lots of unarmed, pro-freedom, pro-gun rallies at the capitol back in the early 1990's.

Why do you think so many gun-owners like myself left the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia?

It's a battle you just can't win. They will tear your gun-rights down, bit by bit, until you give up.

I have my whole life for them to hope that I give up. My children aren't inheriting this garbage. The best path to change is by changing the environment that the lawmakers have to live inside. California will be a tougher nut to crack, but it will crack.

Quitting California doesn't help California.

Quitting Ca doesnt hurt it either. If you have not lived outside the PRK you cannot
enjoy the freedom from tyranny.

Good luck with that.

CA citizens are not simply leaving the PRK for gun rights alone. For one thing, its a lot cheaper to live elsewhere, where your dollar buys a lot more for less.
