Default A1 rear sight to A2...who makes ?

I remember seeing a long time ago someone made a A2 style rear sight that would replace the A1 (oly arms?) , A2 style that was same width as the A1 , looking for that type so as to have the same plane with the larger A2 sight picture ...

You are just talking about the aperture right?

Randall....yep....looking for one with the large aperture but of the same plane...with out the wide base of the A2... ? ...can the A2 sight base be trimmed ?

GFJ....I tried the A2 sight aperture before... works... but with my eyes...I tend to crank the rear sight to the right and would lose some adj. due to the wider base of the A2

If I was forced to do it, I would probably sacrifice a windage screw and use it to mount the aperture sideways so I could mill or surface grind it.
Then I would flip it over and add a washer if needed so I could do the other side.
Never done it before, but that's how I would do it.

I'd just drill out an A1 sight. If he only wants it as wide as an A1, the diameter of an A2 is going to be too big, it would look funky if you shaved the sides down.

Are you looking for same plane sights but small and large hole?
