Ammo Bros website ammo inventory, how accurate is it?

Since I can't get anyone at ammo bros Ontario or Santa Ana to pick up the phone during normal business hours, how accurate is the ammo inventory availability listing on their website?

I bought ammo just once as I needed some 12GA as I was fresh out. If the website says they have in stock and you can purchase, you are good to go. The ammo is kept in a distribution center and they ship within a few days to your preferred ammo bros location. Since the online ammo is at their distribution center, the ammo for each store is never reflecting that. People going in there thinking ammo is in stock is often wasting their time.

If you are able to add the inventory to your cart, we have the item available at our warehouse, and it can be sent to any store for pickup at no charge. We are having some issues that we are actively working on with the "check store availability" button. We hope to have this issue resolved soon.

It’s not! Drove to the Ontario store as they had 6.5 Creedmore listed in stock on the website. Couldn’t verify by phone as they don’t answer, but thought we’ll let’s go see. Drove an hour plus from Temecula only to be greeted very rudely at the entrance asking what I wanted. Told them and was promptly told they don’t have any, when I mentioned that the website listed it in stock they said it’s not accurate. Very poor service at that location. However the staff at The Perris store have been outstanding…even if they didn’t have Ammo, but no one does right now.

Update: We have fixed the issue at our Cerritos and Santa Ana locations. We are working on the rest of the locations now.

Yup, as mentioned in my original post, I called 2 Ammo Bro locations during normal business hours and nobody picked up the phone. So they lost my business.....

Same thing I always try to call the SD store not even to buy ammo but to see if they have any special firearms in stock but no one answers the phone.

Very sad because I like the people in the store.

Just went to the San Diego store yesterday as it had several “in stock” items I wanted.

Got there and literally 5 items I asked for were out of stock

I asked the salesman how accurate the inventory system is and he told me put “in infront of accurate” and to go to big 5 for better chances….

The last three times I tried to buy something, each time a different product, at Santa Ana Ammo Bro's,

I first checked their inventory on line and then called to confirm that they actually had the product (by SKU).


Only after they confirmed that they were "looking at it now", I then asked them to hold it in my name.


The first time, they had nothing held in my name and asked if I had called another store instead.


The second time, they had held at the counter a completely different product by the same manufacturer.


The third time, they admitted that "someone" only looked at the computer and not seen the actual product,

but knew that their computer inventory is rarely accurate...
