The Shootist is a large Class 3 FFL dealer and has a large selection of firearms and accesories with atleast a handfull of OLL rifles in stock at any given time. Faith Armory is a fairly new gunstore (few years old) and always has atleast a few OLL AR's and AK's on the shelf.
Wow!

A little over a year ago, The Shootist wouldn't touch an OLL in civilian hands!

I noticed that City Arms in Pacifica is listed by name, but does not have a blue marker on the map. I just bought an OLL there and had a very good experience with them. I was in and out of the shop in 30 minutes. No muss, no fuss.

Would be nice to recognize them with a blue marker in case people don't take the time to read the list of names on the left side and figure out they are on the Peninsula near San Francisco.

Is the map dead? I'm getting a map of the US with no location pins when I attempt to follow the link and directions.

Every listing has a marker on the map. The "Google Place" listings got wiped out by a bug with Google, however, so it will just show the name and location As soon as I have time I will recreate a new map and hope the problem does not happen again.

All updates have been added to the map. And good news, it appears Google has finally corrected the problem where all the Google Places listings turned into just a coordinate and address - that means all the phone numbers, photos, reviews, etc... are available again on the entries that have them.

can you add Delta Three Tactical (http://www.delta3tactical.com/) is an online retailer located out of Jefferson, GA they ship to California Dealers and will work with you with what you need to make a CA legal AR. Don Thomas is the owner i believe and gives awesome service. he helped me build my Noveske lower. great guy.

Also pls add Safe Space Shooting (http://www.safespaceshooting.com/) i believe the specialize in Transfers. there located in Lancaster CA, and are the FFL i used for my transfer. there fee is $25 and are awesome people to work with. they make it easy. if your looking to do a transfer in the
AV i recommend them.

Steer clear of The Gun Shop located on Sierra Highway in lancaster. they are unorganized and really over priced. also they make it really uncomfortable to even go brows there horrible AR Inventory. they refused to even do a transfer with me and said if they even did one they would charge $100 just to do so.... just wanted to get that out. it pissed me off

after speaking on the phone 2x with The Shootist about doing a ppt transfer there of my HK SP89 , i brought my dissassembled handgun there and was asked to leave the building with them insisting it was an Assault Weapon in front of other customers. they got about 5 employees together, including one who said he was a cop. they said they wouldnt do the transfer and insisted that I leave. I said that he was the one who said I could transfer it on the phone, and they argued with me to leave.

We went to the Faith Armory, where we were met with awe at the rare gun that I was buying. They knew the laws and did the transfer easily and I was done in less time than the wait to even speak to someone at the Shootist.

after buying 4 guns at the Shootist, I will never go back there and Faith arms will have my business forever. Faith had an R25 308, a PTR91 and a few other great guns.

I dont think the Shootist should be on the map .

FYI folks... If you're seeing reddish colored dots (no man figure or upside down teardrop markers) you can click on those dots and more info will pop up for those shops. These also correspond with the list, on the left side of the Google map page.

Without a doubt -- based on many years of gun collecting, gun store and gun show transaction experiences -- I just had THEE VERY BEST gun buying experience with EBR WORKS (of Newbury Park, CA.) I've ever had.

While there's many an FFL dealer a quarter of the distance away from me -- Michael's flawless attention to detail, his 5 star courteous customer service and his vast 'walking encyclopedia' knowledge of the laws (and guns) -- just made him my first and ONLY choice from here on out. Do yourself a favor next time you buy a gun online and give this guy a call.

I guarantee you will be as impressed as I was!

I think it may be best to just leave them on the map since people can see their reviews if they click the marker.

City Arms East is another not on the map. Its the sister store to the one in Pacifica. Very cool guys and they are very OLL friendly, and carry a lot of rifles and accessories for the AR15 platform system.

Guns Direct
1521 West Magnolia Boulevard
Burbank, CA 91506

gunsdirectburbank.com‎

Please add them to the list , as they made the transaction as pleasant as you did when you sold me the Rifle.

Default oll

hey, i got a question. I am 20 and planning to start an AR style rifle. So i was gonna pick what oll i wanted when i found out that it got to be regeristerd because its considered a pistol. this is bad for me because i dont turn 21 until 2013. so i was wondering if i can buy an oll with a stock attached without needing it to be regeristered?? then swap it out with a collapsable stock as it will have a bullet button?

"Arlington Firearms" (inside "JK Mustang Mfg" shop)
4944 Date Ave, Sacramento, CA, 95841
916-332-1872

Outstanding service ! Many Ak-platform guns. C&R friendly. Can help with transfers and on-line purchase.
They also have shop, so you can service your weapon (mods, upgrades, re-builds).

(I personally got Russian Makarov through them)

I think it's hard to find friendlier C&R dealer in Sac.

Default Why is West L.A. left out? Just because of Santa Monica?

Seriously, no friendly gun shops or non-brick/mortar dealers near the westside? Brentwood, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica Cyn?...you'd think people with more stuff would want to protect it. But the stupidity is that they outsource their own safety to numerous 'Security Services' whose sometimes armed employees make minimum wage, can have multiple criminal convictions, and hold nothing but resentment toward those who employ them. (Much like the U.S. spending our money on 'Security' by hand delivering $100 bills to war/druglords in Afghanistan, tribal leaders of death squads and terrorists in Iraq, and then are shocked that a Islamic militia in Libya kills our Ambassador, or AQ cells in Yemen send out boys with PETN in their shorts I think your head gets twisted when you think everything has its price, and you always try to get the lowest, so since you've paid they must honor that bond. BS! Talk to many home security employees and they'll tell you straight that they wouldn't trust most of their fellow employees with beer money, let alone the access code to your expensive home security system.

How am I going to get my hands on a used ACR?

Another Q? Where is the best place to get complete firearms training, starting w/ a guy who has never really fired a gun, I don't really count a .22 revolver w/ sub-sonic rounds at six feet. I read that International Tactical was excellent, and they seem to have their stuff together judging by their web site that is. Anyone with comments about them or other recommendations?
