I’m at 29523.

I heard that the CMP brings in 8000-10000 of these in each round. If anyone knows please correct me.

Currently they are authorized to receive up to 10k per year (not per "round"), to sell. So that would suggest anyone with a number <30k may get theirs within a year. Anyone over that won't be until the second year. The first "round" took a couple years to get through. Doesn't look like anybody has posted a high 30's or a 40's number, so maybe this second round didn't get as many applications. Don't think CMP has said what they'll do if they run out of applicants before they run out of pistols.

I just hope they don't run out of pistols! I can see Biden moving to shut this down.

Nothing yet for me. How long before I should assume there is probably a problem?

June. As mentioned several times here and everywhere, they said if you haven't heard from them by June, then to reach out and contact them.

...although, reading the CMP forum threads now, it sounds like people are already getting calls and paying for their guns!

The CMP forum you posted has good info. Looks like they have already contacted RGN 20,042 as of yesterday.

I'm at 23453. Any report what condition they are in?

Also, got notification they are processing my order for rack grade special! Although it's not my first Garand, it certainly won't be my last!

Update 04/09/21 - Charge for rifle just hit the credit card. Rifle should be enroute in a few days!

I sent a packet snail mail in mid January, no RNG yet.

Did all who got a number send a copy of their FSC?

That seemed like simple stuff done later,
like paying the sales tax during an FFL transfer, but maybe not?

I did not send the FSC copy, so maybe missed this boat...

Sully, I believe there are a lot of folks who have not yet received a number. Give it some time and hopefully you will. Lots seem to be coming out in batches, though the numbers in those batches don't make a lot of sense to me, some received notice on the 6th and some on the 8th and 9th.

I sent my FSC card in because why not but my dad didn't and he received his number the same day I did. I'm in the 30k and dad's is in the 28k. We're both crossing our fingers and hoping.

Well that is a good part to hear, thanks.
There was a CMP thread from 2018 about fsc.
Have one available should the call come.

Here is a recent NRA video on the M1911 sales. Most of the video is old but I still got some new insight.

Back in the Mid 80's when the US Military went to the Beretta the Gov't sold a large number of 1911 to the Mexican Armed Forces. At that time one of the freight facilitators that Mexico used was my stepfather.

He would get large crates of 1911's delivered to his warehouse next to the San Antonio Airport. Mexico would fly up a C-130 and they would then load the crates on the C-130 and off they would go.

Unfortunately because of the tight restrictions none could fall off the truck and they all ended up in Mexico (at least all that arrived at his warehouse did).

I remember once walking into the back of the warehouse and there were actually 2 105mm howitzers in the yard waiting to get loaded. The company handled shipping of pretty much everything from TVs for the O-Clubs to jet engines, grenades, bombs and a few .50 cal MG's.

Look in the link I posted earlier. There's lots of folks on that forum keep good track of and reporting what's going on with everything.
