As stated DOZENS of times a current CA CCW or DD214 can be used in place of any training.

You’re gtg. Pretty much anything that proves basic training qualifies.

It’s been a while, but I think I called them. They mailed it fast. I mailed it right back. The entire process was only a few weeks.

Most relevant answers can be found just going back a few pages.
If it's important enough you should do the work.

Your CA CCW will satisfy the AZ training requirement. But you still need to submit fingerprints, etc.

I did the application, fingerprints, hunters safety class cert, money.
My renewal was smaller application and money.

When I took my class, they gave me a certificate for AZ as well. If all they need is proof of firearm competency I would ask what proof would they accept.

I would email them at https://www.azdps.gov/services/public/cwp and ask. They usually answer within 24 hours.

This way if anything has changed you got it straight from the source.

He means within the 1000 ft GFSZ specifically, not carrying in general.

The other thing to keep in mind is that while that AZ CCW will allow you to carry inside of the GFSZ in AZ, it won't cover that in other states that honor AZ permits. Going to NV and want to carry with your AZ permit? Better make sure you know where he schools are since you're not exempt.
