URSA December 18Th 2000+ Yard Match And Time Change

Due to the shadowing in the new location and the winter solstice along with shooter requests we will be going hot at 10 AM for the December 18th match.

As usual it will be the 3rd Sunday of the month December 18th and all else remains the same.

I am trying to clear more area around the gong but with all the snow and rain that might not happen.

Modolistic got 7/10 at the last match so it can be done.

The new time allows those shooters traveling long distances to shoot 2 matches in decent sunlight conditions.

This does not mean show up late and make everyone else wait while you setup your gear.
At 10 AM the first shooter will go hot and if your not ready thats okay we won't skip you and come back to you but we will shoot the match and you can shoot the next match once your ready. A friendlier match would be very hard to find.
If time allows and shooters have ammo we can even shoot a 3rd match for those that travel and simply can't get up the mountain in time.
The only reason we cancel is rain but if the snow is too deep to set up the lights that would also be a cancelation.
No pit duty and no Fees as usual and the best bunch of shooters in Norcal what more could you ask for(rhetorical? )
Location is above Upperlake California 3 miles west of the highglade Lookout at around 4200 feet of elevation so bring a heavy coat.
This match is a qualifying match for the 2023 3K Match so keep shooting until you get 5 hits!!!

The Match Director will decide how many shooters need to be signed up to move forward with this event. Unless the event is formally cancelled (as announced on this and other posting sites), assume it is going forward.

IF you want to shoot multiple rifles, you need to complete a registration for each one. If you expect to be shooting with us more than once, I suggest you do yourself a favor and build a text file in your word processor and then just copy and paste. NOTE: IF you seriously think you will score 5 in 10 or better, please DO take the time to enter ALL the info requested in the Build Sheet section - will save me e-mailing you to get missing info and hasten getting results posted on the URSA site (News and Stats pages) and the non-Cal Guns sites. If you want to shoot this event, you MUST sign up ONLINE (see below). Registrations MUST be received no later than 6 PM the day before the event. There will be NO onsite registrations. Registration is required for all shooters, spotters, and anyone that will be on or in the general proximity of the shooting line. NO exceptions!

Sign-Ups: URSA uses the online program, Zoho Forms, to capture shooter Liability Releases and Build Sheet data, and spotter/other Liability Releases – Liability Releases are signed and dated at the event. The last line in the above post is overlooked a lot. When it says Address just put the city where you live and not the street number.

It can be done if you don’t miss to the right of the target. If you shoot to the right of the target there is no way to spot your misses unless you miraculously hit a twig and it comes flying out of the shade into the sunlight…….

The match time change will greatly increase my odds of being able to attend, thank you. I did sign up for this match, so hopefully the weather clears.

Also, any shooters looking for a chamber job now is the time to bring your parts, my schedule is wide open right now so turnaround time is 1-2 weeks, not months. I have several actions Im waiting for from Defiance for builds but they are now 3 months behind original lead times so I have the time.
