Default Where to buy GOOD 22lr in San Diego?

I'm wanting to try out some other types of ammo at the range. I am aware that the regular bulk stuff is available everywhere. Does anyone know of any local sources for Wolf Match, Lapua, Eley brands of ammo locally? Would prefer to avoid shipping charges if possible, but if no one carries it, I guess I'll have to order some online.

UPDATE

I'll keep adding to this as I find out what shops are carrying locally:

LAX Ammo: Some Eley, Federal Gold Medal Target ($24/brick), CCI Standard Velocity ($26/brick)

Discount Gun Mart: Norma TAC22 ($6.99/black box, $8.99/white box), CCI Standard Velocity ($7.99/box)

Fine Firearms had some Aguila last time I was in there about a week or so ago.
The blue box is best IMO.
CCI Standard velocity is also excellent in my sidearms. The CCI Green Tag is supposed to be good, but very expensive and I haven't seen any around here for quite awhile.

I just sent a few thousand rounds to Gunfighter Tactical from Target Sports USA. I paid 6 cpr for Federal Gold Match, 3 cpr for Armscor hollow points.

They have the oddball stuff too.

Try calling Duncans up in San Marcos too. They had quite a few different choices in 22LR when I was there. I shoot the cheap stuff, so I didn't pay too much attention to what they had.

Turner's in San Marcos has a supply of odd ball .22's. They even have the 60 grain super sniper Aguila's. 40 grain is on sale for $19 per brick.

I'm imagining a little tiny reloading press with miniature dies

I'll be checking the other spots out this week to see what they have. Should be able to post the results for future reference. Thanks all!

I get SK and Lapua from either TargetSports USA, Brunos, or Creedmoor Sports. I have TargetSports prime so the prices are a little cheaper than the other two and I get free shipping.

Brunos and Creedmoor shipping prices are fair.

Discount doesn't carry target ammo, they have CCI and random bulk junk. Turners doesn't have what you are
looking for either. Neither store will order it.

I ordered some Geco through P2K's website and it took nearly 2 months to get it.

I'm looking to order some Lapua, SK, Elly and Wolf target ammo. Probably order from Target sports USA and ship to Gunfighter Tactical. I just don't need a brick of each to test. Maybe 3-5 boxes of each to test with.

Big 5 has Aguila, I have found that the 40grain SV is one of the better rounds for my target 10/22's. They also have Prime Ammunition

I'm mainly looking for standard velocity stuff... Everything I've read says Prime rimfire sucks.

LAX Ammo does have CCI standard, Federal Gold Medal Match and a few different levels of Eley ammo.

I would be interested in splitting an order from Targetsports... I've been wanting to try some stuff they have. I'm in the same boat of not wanting to buy 500 rounds of each type to figure out what shoots the best from my rifle.

The "SK standard plus" is the exact same ammo as "Wolf match target" and is $10 cheaper per brick, and "SK rifle match" is the same as "Wolf match extra"... they're all made by Lapua.

Prime has been a letdown in a couple of my 10/22's but tried it again in another and it wasn't bad.

This was shooting with the front supported off my range bag and no rear support at 25 yards. Novice shooter. I will be trying it again before I buy more though.

Ammo fast has a good selection if you are looking to buy online (SK, Lapua, Federal, CCI, Aguila)

Thanks for the heads up but Targetsports has cheaper prices.. If you're in San Diego, Walmart and LAX Ammo have better prices on the federal and CCI.

Bricks of Gold Medal Target at LAX are $25. CCI standard velocity is $27.

I paid 6 cpr for Federal Gold Target Match from Target Sports. It went up a penny since. AutoMatch (a very good cheap round) is 4 cpr. I picked up a 5000 round case of Armscor 36 grain hollow point copper plated .22LR for 3 cpr yesterday at Gunfighter Tactical.

Was that from TS or did you buy it from GFT?

The ammo came for Target Sports and was picked up/DROSed at Gunfighter.

That Armscor .22LR 36 grain copper plate is excellent ammo. 3 cpr and super accurate. Cycles perfectly. Wish I bought two cases.

Turners has/had Remington Thunderbolts for $18/brick. I bought one, rather inaccurate stuff. My wife will get them.

Is that recently in store? Last time I called them I don't remember them having that in stock.
