Hello. I think I need an administrator. I registered as a Junior member and posted for the first time last week. Everything was fine. Nice people and nice replies. I tried to start a new thread today asking for advice on reloading Titegroup in 45ACP, but the site kept asking me to sign in again and again. I looked at members list and I'm not there. On the bottom of one page it kept saying I could not post or reply. What can be wrong or am I doing something wrong? Thank you for any help.

Using my iPad, it does the same thing. I have cookies allowed.
I can be in the middle of a long winded response or just taking some time to respond and hit post. Have to sign in again and my post is gone. Pretty frustrating.

The CG site probably can't tell if it's your IP address or the FBI's ghosting IP address.

Here's my observation. Let's start by assuming you are reading a long thread and you haven't refreshed the page you are on or gone to a new page in quite some time, because you are busy reading/evaluationg some long posts. The system sees this as inactivity and if you have been inactive for about 15 minutes (I think, but am not sure what the time limit is) the system logs you off automatically. Possible Solutions Option 1. Open a second calguns browser tab. Every 5 or 10 minutes, go to the 2nd page and refresh it. Option 2. While your typing a long winded response or taking a long time to create a post (cause you went to get a refreshing beverage and/or make a sammich): Hit the preview post button (you may have to hit the go advanced button first, depending on where you are) every 5-10 minutes. By doing either Option 1 or Option 2, the system recognizes that you are active on the site and it resets the clock (that times you out and logs you off) back to zero. At least that's the way it seems to work to me. Of course, I wish I had done either of those while I was typing this, but at least I copied all of this before I hit the submit reply button, which allowed me to re-paste this after logging back in. I guess that makes this method Option 3. |

I think I just answered my own question.
