Can we get a list of the people are going on page one, and who's staying overnight?

Well, I do believe I’ve established my BLM game plan. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

After our mandatory zombie shoot/hunt therapy, and much deserved and well earned snack.

Pic courtesy of Mr. Full Clip………..Thank you Sir.

I’ll join the gang in a muzzle flash photo session

Pic courtesy of Mr. Red Rocket……..Thank you Sir.

After that and by the camp fire light, Kumbaya tunes and, well what can I say.

You can join mrlonewolf in singing Cumbaya or Kumbaya depending where you are from. You two will probably be the only ones singing, but don't worry, we won't laugh......much.

Please put me down on the list as a definite overnighter.

I will bring something to go with the Carne Asada (baked beans, potato salad, chips, suggestions?)

Will also be hitting up Cosco before the trip for cases of water etc. I might be doing the tent thing but if it gets too windy i'll have my Suburban and a blowup bed. Fold the seats down, instant bedroom.

I was also thinking of bringing my scanner out there. I can probably get a hold of the BLM ranger frequencies just so we may get a heads up if they are heading out our way. I can also pickup their aircraft frequencies. It's nice to have a little advanced warning when they are 10-20 minutes out. Maybe we need to issue a whistle or air horn in case we need to do a quick cease fire. I can grab a couple of air horns if everyone thinks thats a good idea. Just throwing it out there.

Does anyone have a 20 gauge shotgun by any chance. Somehow, I ended up with a box of shells for one and don't need them. The first person who says they have one and would like the shells, will get them. I want to get them out of the safe and I'll never buy a 20 gauge.

I realize this is not like giving a 1000 rounds away and it's no big thing, but it is free. So, who wants it that is going on the trip. No pms, just post here.

Well...I would say because in the eyes of the law...you'd be making a bomb. Kinda like it's legal to own gun powder...but if you take a pound of it..compress it in a bottle...and ignite it....you'd go to jail if caught.. what's the difference? Making an explosion just can't be legal...anything that much fun has to be illegal. Now with that said..I want some! Just worried about the legalities...

Okay Lyte-, you get the box of 20 gauge shells. Remind me when we get all settled in at the shooting site.

As far as Tannerite goes, you might want to do a search here (I'd recommend using the 1.1 skin as that search function is better).

You can bring paper, steel, clays and bowling pins as I had those confirmed to be ok by a Ranger. Don't bring glass or anything that will affect the environment in a negative manner. If you bring a watermelon, you won't get a chance to shoot it, since someone will probably eat it before you do.

I make up target frames from PVC pipe:

I made some of these clay holders last minute the last time I went out. Cheap as heck to make, these unfortunately are the only pics I have of them. Don't laugh too hard. I made 9 stakes in all for about 6 bucks. They won't last for ever but for 6 bucks I was real happy with them. We shot 22lr at them all day and all but 2 made it back home. You can get 3 or 4 disks on one stake if you mount them like a dueling tree.
You will need a few 10 ft 1x2" wood firing strips cut in to thirds and a 45* cut on one end to make staking into the ground easier, then you will need some drip irrigation tubing. I got a 50' roll at OSH for $2.50. All you have to do is drill appropriate sized holes to the diameter of the clay, I can't remember the correct bit size but the snugger the fit the better when it comes to the tubing, cut some tubing at an angle to make feeding into the tight holes easier, cut a few inches longer than you need and feed through the holes. Then with a clay in place pull ends tight and tape, staple gun or hot glue. Presto cheap ***** reactive target holders. Cheers.

The contraption is on the right
[IMG][/IMG]
That's them out there at 25-30 yards.

The July 17th BLM shoot is going to be EPIC!

Is anyone working on getting t-shirts made for this event?

Would be cool to have a one of a kind "CalGuns 2010 Super Secret BLM Zombie Shoot"

Anyone???

If not does anyone have the artistic talents to design something that can be screen printed on the back of a t-shirt or know someone that can? Maybe a contest to see who can come up with the best design....I don't know, stupid idea?

I just spoke with an officer from the BLM Barstow office re tannerite. His concern was the brush in the area catching fire and basically said not to bring it.

I didn't advise him of our location, nor the date of the shoot. I believe it would be a good idea if we didn't have any tannerite at the shoot. If anyone else in the area hears the explosions and they notify officers or if the officers happen to be in the area and hear them, it may not turn out very well.

I of course, can't order anyone not to bring it, but I am requesting it as the possibility (even a remote one) of being able to visit a place where I used to work is not appealing (jail).

I appreciate the offer, however, I have my daughter every Sunday, so unless someone brought her out to me, its not very likely. Thank you though.
