Mega zombie hunt, Nov. 5-7, 2021


The biggest CGN and multi-chapter gathering shoot in our state...!!!!!



Overnight stay for the weekend, lots of guns, tons of ammo, belt feds, steel, paper, biodegradable and organic targets, C&R night shoot extravaganza, abundant food, camp fires at night, zombie movies, etc.


* 100 % Family friendly and oriented event.

* Weekend campers welcome to set up your stations as early as Friday the 5th (at the first zombie shoot we kept the range open for 72 straight hours).

* ORVs welcome (check your tag color).

* Big Potluck and BBQ on Sat. for lunch, let's get together and make new friends and/or put a face to that screen name.

* RAWs, Beltfeds, .50s and Big bores, welcome.

* Insane C&R Sat. evening extravaganza, (do you have a vintage gun?? do you like muzzle flash? do you have a good camera?....bring em, you are going to love it).




What is OK to bring:

* EZ ups and Canopies, chairs, tables, ice chests, lots of water, drinks and ice, camping equipment, hats, sun screen.etc.

* Food for the Potluck ***we are going to need at least two propane BBQs.***

* Paper, biodegradable, organic and steel targets are OK.

* Bikes, Quads and all types of ATVs are welcome (please check you tag color).

* Generators and flood lights.

* Fire wood for the campfires, more food, drinks and popcorn for the zombie movie.

* Trash bags, rakes and containers to clean up the place after your shooting session.

Please let's be prepared to leave the shooting location clean and ready to be enjoyed by us and others in the near future. If you finish your shooting session please remove your targets and any material related to your shooting practice (trash, ammo boxes, spent cases,etc).
If you would like to "donate" your targets to a shooter next to you, the people receiving those targets will be responsible to remove them and clean the spot after the shoot.

Remember, preservation of our land is a must...!!!!!!




What is NOT OK to bring:

* Plastic, glass or any kind of electronic equipment to be used as targets.

* Wood with nails, screws or any kind of metal objects intended for the campfires.

* Tannerite or any kind of explosive targets.

* No Drugs of any kind are allowed nor will be tolerated in our event.

* No Alcohol is permitted during our shooting sessions and BBQs, any kind of Alcoholic beverages must be kept at the camp ground and/or inside your vehicles at all times. This rule will be strictly enforced.


Useful tips and tricks

* If you're bringing a tent/canopy/shade/whatever, bring plenty of weights to hold it down as there are strong winds around noon to 3 PM every day. Last year several blew down range as well as a table or two blew over with guns going everywhere.

* Organize items list for those going to the store or coming up in the middle of the day or different days. Example would be ice, food or bug spray.

Meh - go dirty. It's camping. 10 years ago the majority of attendees were in tents, digging cat holes, with the assistance of wet wipes.

You're in LA, drive out on Friday and leave on Sunday. Only day you won't shower is Saturday.

I am hoping to make the trip down from Idaho! I sold my camper before moving up here and haven't replaced it yet, so I need to do that soon.

thinking about bringing the Bee family, kids are bugging me for some trigger time

is the route and camp rv friendly?

if we can make it, I can bring the m82a1 and enough rimfires for a fireteam plus some ammo for the kids

my rso/oic letters expired years ago but I'd be willing to help on the line around watching my own kids

Yes sir, both route and camp area is RV friendly.
The way in might be a bit sandy and loose, maybe a gully to swing around but there are turn outs and so far as I know there has been no problems over the years.

Well, there was that time last event where 'The Andrew Mendez' got the car stuck going crossways on the camp roads. Highside right in the camp, hung up on the berm, looked like a Honda teeter totter.
Stay on the driven roads and you ought be fine.

As this might be my last SSZS due to my physical issues, I plan to attend. The only thing that will prevent doing so and it's a biggie, is lack of ammo. I have a very minimal amount and since I'd be taking the older grandsons, they will zip thru it all. I'm fine with reloads and I need to contact one of our members who sells reloads. I hope he has some and I won't need a second mortage.

Yeah - last year I took my 31’ Class C in no problem. Get there early so you can join the wagon circle and have a prime spot.

retired - I have a ton of 22lr ammo and you're welcome to as much of it as you'd like. I know it's only 22lr but it's still fun to plink around with.
