Default Anyone been to ASR lately?

Been out of country for most of last year and only returned a few weeks ago.

With the ammo shortage and covid rules, how's Angeles Shooting Range in terms of crowds? I used to take a weekday off from work to go shooting to avoid the weekend crowds. I only use the rifle side.

TIA

During the week it’s wide open on rifle, pistol right side more shooters and you have to social distance and mask.

Cool, thank you. Definitely need some range time to get that muscle memory back.

How is it during the weekend? I kind of want to go up there for my bachelor party with the boys

I arrive at 7am on weekends. The shooting starts at 8am. During covid they had every other bench taped off. So after a while there would be a line of showers waiting for a bench.

I usually stay for+3 hours. So id hate to be that guy who arrives at 10am just to have to wait.

How does their pistol side work? I've only been there twice, on the rifle side so I never looked into the pistol side. And their new web site doesn't have any info at all, when I pretty sure it had a lot more detail on the process.

it is 100 yards, you can use rifles still further down the pistol side. The first half is pistol only. You will notice the difference between the two

I meant as far as targets and rules. Their website used to have lots of pics, and info regarding what they had on the range for pre-installed targets and what you could use. All that info is gone now, and it was so long ago, I don't remember any detail. For some reason my FIL wants to go there specifically instead of an indoor range to shoot his new 38.

Ok, so it sounds like weekends are still a cluster with the number of available benches cut in half. I thought, with the ammo shortage, that people would be hoarding at home and not expending valuable ammo at the range.

I'll be going early weekday morning.

Thanks!

Assuming their web site is current, Thursday is half price day.

Steel gallery is still up. They have one for 22 only (varying distances) pistol caliber (varying) and rifles at 100 yards.

Rifle side has 2,3,4,5,and 600 yard steel targets
