Default BLM land or ranges over 300 yards

Hello all, I'm from San Diego and have a couple of spots BLM spots where I frequent and shoot out to 400 yards down towards the ocotillo desert area. However I'm spending a lot more time and living partially out in Riverside county now for work. I'm looking for BLM shooting areas where I can atleast reach out to 300 yards or more in the riverside/palm desert areas.

I've been scouting areas out towards joshua tree, morongo valley (off the 62), and 29 palms by map. Looking for insight on people who shoot out there. I know there is berdoo canyon, but from what I see it looks overcrowded and area to only shoot up to 200 yards. I have a capable high clearance 4x4 rig and usually enjoy going out for a day or 2.

TIA feel free to message me any spots to keep them lowkey and we can maybe exchange some locations that I have already scouted and vetted in the lower desert areas.

Bee Canyon in Hemet. But they're closed for the season. They'll reopen 01/08/21.

Not Riverside County but San Berdo. Large areas outside of Barstow you can go 1000 plus

I've been shooting BLM land in various places around SoCal since the mid 80's.

Over the years I've seen good places transformed into dumps, and have seen some places closed.

With the proliferation of the internet, a simple google search means anybody can access favorite shooting spots once they are identified on the web. The problem with such broad accessibility is that not everyone respects the location, and that's when mostly unmolested shooting spots begin accumulating increasing amounts of trash and junk.

I'm not against sharing shooting spots with individuals, I've shared my spots with other calgunners over the years, I just don't broadcast my spots publicly.

Something to think about. It's a free country, but just look what some people are doing to our country.

Anybody who shoots on public land should include some trash bags with their gear to collect all discarded targets, empty ammo boxes, trash, etc. Go a step further and pick up any trash left by others. The idea is to leave the place cleaner than you found it.

I never have seen an area to shoot 300 yards in Bee Canyon.
