Default Chad Bianco for RIV CO sheriff 2018

Chad Bianco is going to run for sheriff in 2018. He is very pro 2A and a way better guy than Stan Sniff. I know it is early still but last time Chad got 48 % of the vote on a shoestring budget.

This time he has the support of the Riverside Sheriff's Association.

I voted for him the last time and would do so again. That said and not to be a naysayer, running against an incumbent and winning is very difficult. I speak with some knowledge on this subject having seen it done with my former dept. A Capt. and a sgt. ran against Baca at one point. After their loss, I heard, and I know that is hearsay, they were both told that was the end of any advancement in their career. True or not, I can't imagine that a sitting Sheriff would be too pleased having a subordinate running against him. Ironically, Baca ran against Block, an incumbent and won.

Also, what is common and actually occurred with Sniff, is the incumbent Sheriff will resign prior to his end of term and request the BOS appt. his personal choice (usually the Undersheriff) to the post. That way, when he runs for election (not reelection Sheriff Sniff), he is the incumbent. If Sniff plans on retiring, he will probably follow what is a tradition on some departments.

I hope Lt. Bianco wins this time. If he does, I foresee ccw permits being issued on a much grander scale. I fortunately have mine from my former dept. and I would like to see those who want it and qualify, join me in having one and not at an exorbitant price. I just read something in the paper in the last week or so that said it cost $900! If that is true, that is asinine. A person should not have to pay that much for one and I find it hard to believe the expenses are such to justify it. The article was about how the Chief of Beaumont PD was going to begin issuing them because of the huge backlog with the County. Banning's Chief stated he was looking to see how that went to decide if he would follow. So there is some hope for the citizens of those cities.

I hear you. I know Chad was "punished" after the last election but I think he may be able to pull it off this time.

I talked to him several times at rally's and he seemed like a very knowledgeable person. I don't live in California any more but I still support him.

I was able to get my CCW here for 100 dollars good for 8 years. Nothing changed between here and California. Strange how that works.

Sniff got right on it after the last election... the wait for an initial interview is down to only 18 months...

One of my neighbors lived in Oregon a few years ago. He walked in the local sheriff's office and walked out with his permit. Hmmm...

When I moved to Tennessee I had to take an 8 hour class, go to DMV and pay 100 dollars and about 3 weeks later in the mail came my CCW good for 8 years.

Great news! I supported him last around will support again . . . heck, I even have my official 2014 yellow and black "Bianco for Sheriff" yard sign ready to go again.

If recall correctly, Sheriff Sniff will be 69 in 2018, so really time for some new leadership and Lt. Bianco is certainly the right man.

I remember reading somewhere a while back that Sheriff Sniff supported the idea of not allowing CCW holders to carry on school grounds. I thought he vetted us. guess not!

*Can't back up calls for service for any deputies regardless of the seriousness of the call. (remember he was spoken to for going to an officer down call) now he has been ORDERED not to help any deputies out. Unbelievable!!!!
If this doesnt send a message that this dictator cares nothing about his department or the people they serve, then I dont know what does. Him getting reelected is the only thing that matters. I don't do Facebook, but perhaps someone should advise her to write this word for word in a letter to the Press Enterprise.

Re the "draw down" referenced, I recall reading in that paper a few months back that Sniff stated if he didn't receive the money he was asking for, he would be forced to reduce the deputy coverage in the unincorporated areas. Well, for those who don't know, there is only one deputy per shift in those areas already, so reducing that means no coverage. I obtained this info from a dept. sgt. during one of my organized Neighborhood Watch meetings almost 10yrs. ago.

So when we actually have a deputy in the county area that means he covers from the Lake Skinner area to the city borders of Menifee and Wildomar. That is a very large area and that is a long response time unless they just happen to be around the corner when the call comes out. In 15yrs. in patrol, that occurred only once to me.

MURRIETA45, perhaps you can be that person that advises her.

How the heck are you Retired? I hope life is well!

I agree 110% with your assessment of both the incumbent vs subordinate race, and backing Chad Bianco for his CCW and 2A standpoint.

Hopefully CGN will not follow the NRA's recommendation of Sniff as they did in last election. More importantly the NRA needs to switch their backing of Sniff for the more favorable 2A and CCW friendly attitudes of Lt. Bianco!

I will again support and volunteer for Bianco, and so should anyone interested in either a Riv. county CCW, or our 2A rights here in Riverside County!!!

WE NEED A NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN!!!

Received this email today....

"Lt. Chad Bianco issues statement on proposed law to ease Concealed Carry Firearm Restrictions

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA - - Today Riverside County Sheriff's Lieutenant Chad Bianco released a statement supporting a proposed law, AB 1931 (Fong), that eases restrictions on concealed carry permit holders by extending permits from 2 years to 5 years.

"I support efforts to extend the terms of concealed carry permit holders from 2 years to 5 years," said Lt. Bianco. "This legislation will save Riverside County money and strengthen 2nd Amendment rights."

Lt. Bianco is a strong supporter of 2nd Amendment rights and increasing access to Concealed Carry Permits for law-abiding citizens. California law dictates that County Sheriffs have discretion over policies of issuing Concealed Carry Permits thus permitting processes vary from County to County and Sheriff to Sheriff."

Vote BIANCO!!!!...................Mark

Bianco just got $300,000.00 from the sheriffs deputies. That should tell you something.

Default not sure who to vote for yet

Here's a Press Enterprise article issued yesterday 2/29/2018 saying the Union gave thousands towards Chad Bianco. I'm not sure how to take that information. But I do know we need a Sheriff who is 2A and CCW friendly. Not just friendly, but as energetic to issue them as much as the San Bernardino Sheriff is.

I went to a meet-n-greet last night with Chad Bianco. He could not have been a more genuine, open, nice guy. He did not dodge any questions or seem to 'search' for answers. I think he really knows what needs to be done to get the department back to a true 'service' type of entity, and will get the job done.

The reality is, virtually everyone (RSO rank and file, neighboring depts, etc.) is supporting Bianco because the current Sheriff is just not doing a good job.

Of course his opponents are going to throw mud about the unions backing Bianco - that's how politics works sometimes. When you can't say something good about your own record, you have to try to discredit the others.

On the subject of 2A and CCW - Bianco remains very pro-CCW. He knows that the current method of RivCo permit granting (or not) isn't working for anyone. I believe he will fix that, ASAP.

Huh? I would surmise he has been a Lt. for a long time because the Sheriff is punishing him. This is the second time Chad has run, so do you really think the Sheriff is going to reward a subordinate who is attempting to take his job with a promotion.

Default Chad Bianco for RIV CO sheriff 2018

If you’re basing your vote for sheriff solely on the issuance of CCW’s, then you probably shouldn’t be voting. It’s like a person on welfare voting for Hillary because she’s in favor of entitlements to buy votes. If that’s all you know, how can you make an informed decision?

It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911!

I agree that a voter needs to be as educated as possible. And yes the majority of welfare recipients vote straight democrat ticket for that exact reason you stated... future entitlements.

However, for many of us who are pro gun, pro 2A, and pro ccw... This is an especially important political stance and dividing line for many of us. --- Especially in today's anti-gun climate! I also venture to say that 2A/CCW stance may be THE factor for many here!

Personally, I know that Sniff has been in office since 2007, and in my opinion that is a very long term for any office. It's time for CHANGE! Friends with RCSD have told me Sniff is pretty arrogant and a "dee eye see kay" in their words. I also have never heard any of them have anything but praise for Bianco. The games that Sniff has played with Bianco each time he has run against him, are public info and a total shame! The recent campaign donation by the union speaks volumes to me who the rank and file want as their boss. That also carries much weight with me. Add to all that--- Chad's Pro 2A and CCW stance and it is a "no brainer" for me.

In summation: It's time for Sniff to be snuffed from office!
