I hate losing good shooting steel.

I left a decent sized 1" thick tool grade steel plate (not AR500) at one of my high desert BLM spots several years ago. It was kind of far out there and not brightly painted so it kind of blended in with the background.

I realized it long after we had left and hoped it would be there in about a month and a half when I returned.

No luck.

Yup, was my first time shooting with this dude (co-worker). He forgot like everything, forgot his ammo (made him pay me for using mine), forgot his target so I had to go back and get it (he realized it before we were "gone gone"), and I had two steel targets of my own. I packed mine, he 'helped' pack the other one. I've never forgotten my own **** because I normally scan the area multiple times before I leave, but I normally shoot alone lol. Guess it's also my fault as well. Lesson learned!

LOL! Sounds like we've both shot with the same kind of people.

I once showed up at the range and when I walked up to my bud who was already there he informed me that he left all his mags at home.

Another time, (and different friend) we drove all the way out to Bell Mountain from Moreno Valley to go dirt biking only for him to find out he left his riding boots in his garage.

Dammit Eat Dirt, it was yooouuu!

I just hope that whoever found that old steel plate found out early that it was mild steel and not AR500. It was perfect for standard velocity pistol rounds and would have lasted a lifetime for that purpose.

Use old circular saw blades. Next time. They ring true.

Was that the one you found at the Zombie Shoot a few years ago while driving around in your Rhino. Maybe it's one of those you enjoy for awhile and then it's someone else's turn until they forget it.
