Sadly...yes. I have been wanting a semi 22lr, and the roster offerings before this announcement were not impressive. Now, which one to buy first?

Went to Turner’s yesterday morning for the SR22. By 11:50am, I was the 4th person to put a deposit down for one of them.

Can’t wait to use that nice, little plinker.

You'll enjoy it, it is a good little reliable plinker. For sheer shooting fun though, I think I will go for the MK IV first as for actual accurate shooting at range, it's superior. More accurate, larger, heavier. The SR22 is a plinker, the MK IV is a shooter.

No. The barrel and receiver are one unit. It?s a bummer because they?re really nice.

Of the two Mark IV is the better gun. SR22 can be ammo sensitive. One of the best 22 semi?s is the S&W Model 41.

And I've owned the SR22 and sold it. Not that it was a bad gun, it was great but it's small, really small. Perfect for first time women shooters. But not that fun to shoot at distance. I've never owned a Ruger MK so the MK IV seems to be the perfect one to buy.
