Thanks Darto in for One. I've been happy with the other sizes for ammo or in the bed of my truck carrying other gear.

These are AWESOME. I have them in every size.
The smaller ones are better for ammo, unless it shotgun rounds, due to the weight, but these are strong and tough. Best price I've seen on these in years, thanks OP! |

I had $25 desired price on file and stored at Camelcamel for over a year before an email from Camel yesterday told me of the price drop on Amazon. It's all automatic that way.

I grabbed three of them. They're great for long term food storage, and I use them for camping/hunting containers. One full of warm weather, one full of cold weather, write with a sharpie on the outside what season it's for, and you never have to search for random stuff again. Just grab it, throw it in the truck, make sure you've got ammo for your rifle, and hit the road.

Looks like a few other places have them for cheaper, though unknown what the final total would be including tax, shipping, etc. Might be worth checking out other sources as well, though one needs to be wary of retailers with crappy reputations (e.g. Battlehawk). I've personally ordered stuff from Family Firearms and they are GTG , as is Midway, of course.

How high are you guys stacking these, loaded with the 90 pound max ?
I bought a few more than expected, figured if I can sit on the crate...and it not flex...they should be able to handle at least 300 pounds long term ? Ended up stacking them 4 high, figured thats 270-280 pounds on top of the very bottom crate. |

I ordered two. One came with the lid completely detached from the crate itself, but it was no big deal to snap in back on. The other one came with the o-ring hanging halfway out of its slot, creased and sliced. That one's going back for exchange today.

For these though, I am not loading down so heavy. These will hold mags, holsters, parts etc |

I store all my excess firearm related equipment and it works great. One box has all my gun cases in them. Loaded to capacity with just ammo would be a nightmare to carry I'd think.

I've now got three, and they're being filled with rice, beans, and similar non perishable long term food storage. Each one will probably hold a months worth of beans, and protect them from stored food eating critters.

I packed a months worth of dried goods in to one of them. Beans, rice, etc. These will make fantastic long term emergency food storage. Freeze everything for a week to make sure there's no weevil larvae or similar, then pack and seal. Canned goods just go in a taped up cardboard box. I'll probably set up a couple with just long term food, and one or two as a grab-and-go emergency box with food, water filter, cash, pistol, change of clothes, medical gear, etc. Too big to fill full of ammo, but just right for bulkier slightly lighter stuff you want to keep out of the elements/bugs.
