Thanks Darto in for One. I've been happy with the other sizes for ammo or in the bed of my truck carrying other gear.

Could be used for many things besides ammo. Looks like it's water tight

These are AWESOME. I have them in every size.

The smaller ones are better for ammo, unless it shotgun rounds, due to the weight, but these are strong and tough.

Best price I've seen on these in years, thanks OP!

I had $25 desired price on file and stored at Camelcamel for over a year before an email from Camel yesterday told me of the price drop on Amazon. It's all automatic that way.

Love these, bought 3 of them from Amazon 3 years ago for 16.99 a piece...went to buy 3 more last year and saw 42 bucks...I passed hard.

Debating to do 3 more at 25 bucks a piece ?

I have the smaller ones and they are great! I couldn't imagine picking this one up if it were full of 45acp though.

I grabbed three of them. They're great for long term food storage, and I use them for camping/hunting containers. One full of warm weather, one full of cold weather, write with a sharpie on the outside what season it's for, and you never have to search for random stuff again. Just grab it, throw it in the truck, make sure you've got ammo for your rifle, and hit the road.

Received two today. Lids aren't attached. Required a bit of pounding to get the lids attached. Good deal.

Looks like a few other places have them for cheaper, though unknown what the final total would be including tax, shipping, etc. Might be worth checking out other sources as well, though one needs to be wary of retailers with crappy reputations (e.g. Battlehawk). I've personally ordered stuff from Family Firearms and they are GTG , as is Midway, of course.

AGREED! Been waiting for these to drop. I bought one either last month or before for about $30+, and that was sale price.

This is a steal!

How high are you guys stacking these, loaded with the 90 pound max ?

I bought a few more than expected, figured if I can sit on the crate...and it not flex...they should be able to handle at least 300 pounds long term ?

Ended up stacking them 4 high, figured thats 270-280 pounds on top of the very bottom crate.

Anyone else ever overload a plastic ammo can and then find yourself only holding the handle when you pick it up? I hate when that happens.

I ordered two. One came with the lid completely detached from the crate itself, but it was no big deal to snap in back on. The other one came with the o-ring hanging halfway out of its slot, creased and sliced. That one's going back for exchange today.

Yessir. I have transitioned all of my ammo into metal .30cal cans since I initially made the mistake of using plastic.

For these though, I am not loading down so heavy. These will hold mags, holsters, parts etc

I don't even use these for ammo, other than maybe a few boxes of ammo tossed in them.
I store all my excess firearm related equipment and it works great. One box has all my gun cases in them.
Loaded to capacity with just ammo would be a nightmare to carry I'd think.

I've now got three, and they're being filled with rice, beans, and similar non perishable long term food storage. Each one will probably hold a months worth of beans, and protect them from stored food eating critters.

I do the same, but with Costco 27 gallon totes. Regular price is $9.99 and $7.99 on sale. Not all tacticool or air tight, but they get the job done...

In fact, I think they're on sale right now.

Yeah we have a few of those too, believe the are made by Greenmade. Yellow/ Back but they are solid bins and stack very nicely.

I packed a months worth of dried goods in to one of them. Beans, rice, etc. These will make fantastic long term emergency food storage. Freeze everything for a week to make sure there's no weevil larvae or similar, then pack and seal. Canned goods just go in a taped up cardboard box. I'll probably set up a couple with just long term food, and one or two as a grab-and-go emergency box with food, water filter, cash, pistol, change of clothes, medical gear, etc. Too big to fill full of ammo, but just right for bulkier slightly lighter stuff you want to keep out of the elements/bugs.
