Default Project Appleseed Sacramento April13-14

Get ready!!!! Sacramento Valley Shooting Center April 13-14

https://appleseedinfo.org/schedule/?...ate=California

Project Appleseed is a non-profit organization that teaches 3 position riflemarksmanship (prone, seated/kneeling and standing). We teach you how to build a proper position, use of a sling for better accuracy, natural point of aim and more. This is great for all experience levels from beginner to advanced.

We also tell the story of the beginning of the Revolutionary War, April 19, 1775. We need to remember what those brave people went through that day, and the days/years to follow. This information is being lost in our schools.

Come join us!! Learn new skills. Dust off the rusty skills.

Just saw this... are there still open spots? I have never been to an appleseed and I am very interested.

I have a basic 10-22 with the standard sights, but would an AR with carry-handle sights be better for this class? The only thing with the AR is I have not zeroed its sights yet.

Thanks

Yes!! There are still tickets available!

Ruger 1022 is a great rifle. The Ruger sights...not so much. They are a drift punch adjustment...brass rod and a hammer for windage and a not so easy to work with slide adjustment for the elevation. You'd be better off if you have a scope or other type of sights (like Techsights) you can put on.

AR's work just fine. No worries about being sighted in, we'll get you there.

Scope or iron sights are perfectly ok for this event.

Check out this link for help on getting ready. https://appleseedinfo.org/how-to-prepare/

Hope to see you on the line.

Sched looks like 3 or 4 rotating locations. No future events in Central Vly (Fresno, Merced, Visalia, etc) area?

There haven't been any in those areas in a long time. I noticed there are none in Mariposa this year either. I am not currently in contact with the shoot boss for that area, so I am not sure of the situation there.
