Default Is everyone putting any delivery to your home into quarantine?

I have decided any package incoming needs to be Lysol'd externally and quarantined for 5 days in garage and opened with gloved hands and contents disinfected before they come into the house....Am I being too paranoid? I just got an international package containing a custom holster made in eastern Europe, delivered by DHL.

picked up with exam gloves on
placed in a large box in garage
externally sprayed down with lysol
waiting 5 days to re spray and open and spray contents.

Are you being too paranoid, probably. Am I doing the same and leaving mail and packages on the front table overnight before touching. Yes. Couldn't hurt to play it safe.

Have heard so much different info on how long it lives on what kind of surface I don't know what to believe.

Letters get the envelopes sprayed down with alcohol. Any packages I take directly to the back yard and spray down with a spray bottle of bleach solution, I soak the box down good on all sides and let it sit out there till it dries. Then open and remove my items and toss the box in the outside garbage. Depending on the item inside I might spray it down with alcohol, but more concerned with the outside of the box as it has been most recently touched and we know some delivery people like to spit on our packages.

As for cash, I do not like messing with cash more than I have to anyway, long before this due to how filthy it is. But now I have a pickle jar half full of alcohol, any cash I get I put in the jar to soak. I have even experimented with a couple one-dollar bills to see what they can take, I have soaked in Alcohol, Hydrogen Peroxide and a strong Bleach solution and none of those seem to harm the paper money in the least. That is some tough stuff they use on the cash.

PPE on

Lysol wipe down

Open shipping packaging

Lysol spray and wipe anything that’s recently packed.
IE: a box of granola bars would get wiped down, each bar inside th sealed box doesn’t get wiped.

All mail and parcels get the QT once over.

There two options actually. Option 1) leave cardboard for 24 hours. The virus takes 24 hours to die on a card board surface. Option 2) put gloves on open box. Remove gloves, pull content out of box without touching outside of the box. Put gloves on and throw box out. In either case clean the surface the box was on.

I don’t do any of that nonsense. Still not sick. In fact I haven’t been sick in over 5 years.

I prefer the Indian Council on Medical Research advisory:
For doctors and nurses handling COVID19 cases - take 400 mg of HCQ twice on day 1, followed by 400mg once a week for 7 weeks, to be taken with meals. Since I am not dealing with hi-risk covid19 patients, I cut the reco in half and take with zinc picolinate. The HCQ builds up in your lungs and prevents infection for 22 days. If you can't find HCQ, you might start drinking tonic water with quinine . . . Gin and Tonic with lemon?

Why wear gloves? Spray down, open, spray what’s inside, throw Away packaging, wash hands

Wipe all packages, including everything I get from the grocery store. Heard that's how people in Ventura are catching this

Yup, same here..my normal routine is to open boxes outside bring contents in and wash up. I’ve been sick once or twice in past 5 years but nothing my body couldn’t handle.

You will die of alcohol poisoning long before you consume enough quinine via gin and tonics to approach anywhere near a clinical dose.

YES. Everything coming into the "bunker" gets sprayed with bleach mix and if not perishable sits outside for at least a day or two.
