It's a Local Jurisdiction's Safety Ordnance.

If you meant the BLM OK... but it still stinks that they've closed it.

In the last 20 years, I think it's the first time it's been closed.

Well maybe it's been closed in the past, but I've never seen it marked as such. ...And I've been going there for a long long time.

Its still closed? I drove by last Saturday morning and people were shooting. I was wondering if it was open again on my way home from a wedding in Temecula.

For anyone looking for a cool lightweight target stand I just found this setup that looks perfect for steel or paper...

http://www.laststands.com/

A little pricey, but being able to break it down into light pieces is nice!

And no, I have no connection to this company, nor do I own one...yet!

I have been MIA for about a year from the forum but I will be at the next one. This Saturday is not going to work for me on such short notice.

This one the last one I attended over a year ago

I'm just wondering what the plan is for removing the trash, are you hauling it away or will there be a dumpster at the site?

I took a load to Temescal Landfill last week. About $15. If everyone throws in a few bucks I'll haul out what we bag. Fill a full size Chevy bed!

Awesome, I have three rakes and a few shovels. Just bring a pair of work gloves if you got em. If not I do have a loaner pair.

The question is, will this sign ever come down. They have been wanting to close it down and now they have.

Would like to join y'all, but will have to speak to the wife. If I'm there, I'm there.

And I strongly suggest getting some of these:

http://www.harborfreight.com/long-re...ase-93950.html

You want the one with the release feature. I have the one from HF and it is gtg. I use it all the time.

And this one would be great too for large flat areas:

I have that magnetic pickup tool with release and it works like a charm for all that rusted Russian steel out there! Saves the old back!

Yes, your going to need stitches for that at the very least. That is a deep laceration.

BLM has gotten very smart. According to this map 50% of California is stage III fire restriction. Funny because there's not much brush or structures to burn around Steele Peak, so in essence it's a defacto closure.
