Default What size barrel nut wrench?

I'm doing an AR in 9mm. I can't figure out which size barrel nut wrench I need. It measures 1.15 inch.
I've tried using online calculator to convert it to fractions but i'm confused.
I have a 1 1/8 wrench that won't fit it in 1 1/4 inch that seems a little bit loose.

Sometimes, the flats are NOT milled to any specific wrench size.

I use an adjustable wrench when I do not have a fixed-size wrench that fits correctly.

Here's what I use. I cut off a 1/2" socket and welded it to a large crescent wrench.
