If republicans dropped their Neanderthal allegiance to backward social issues and adopted the fiscal conservative/social liberal attitude of the libertarians they might win an office or two here.

Sure the party needs to change it's message but at this point there is no reason to. The electorate will never vote for a Republican here. The party is done here.

Remember: even if Cox had won we would still loose here. Excremento has a veto-proof democrat majority so the Governator is basically a token office now.
Not when the Governor is a Democrat it isn't.

Sorry dude independents are nothing but sheep and vote Democrat.

Our GOP house is in order !
Just like GOP candidates in free states are in order !
John Cox would have won in any red state where voters reject big media!
Stop blaming GOP and candidates when it’s stupid friends, neighbors and some cal gunners!

It was difficult (nearly impossible) to with CA Gov race after a reasonable Dem Gov Brown. Newsom is far left, which is probably too much for an average Californian in my view. After he shows his colors, GOP may have a much better chance to win.

For those of you bagging on independants and people should vote 2nd Amendment as single issue it is never that simple. You know that. The world does not revolve around guns. With that said as an independent I did vote republican where I had the opportunity. It was easy to vote for change. Yes I wanted Cox. I did not want Feinstein or DeLeon (what choice did we get for the Senate?). I voted republican for my local congressman. But all dems were voted in. I voted yes on prop 6. With some of the comments on here I wonder who truly voted yes on prop 6 and understood what they were voting for? The election results appeared as if they were rigged for dems and against prop 6. In fact all tax proposals were approved in my district that will increase my property tax. It is really a waste of time to stew over this. It is time to move out of Kalifornia when and if you can.

Pretty simple for me to compare free states where most are registered republicans with democrat states that are poorly run and dangerous!

One instance where a Democrat governor allowed fires to burn !

Jerry Brown, busy mulling ways to prevent the end of the world, took the Clinton and Obama-era gross regulations a step even further when he vetoed a bipartisan wildfire management bill in 2016.
https://sacramentocitizen.wordpress....-bill-in-2016/
Yeah it was just like Trump said !
Once again Trump is 100% accurate!

Newsom is going to royally F us. Prop 63 was nothing compared to what's in store for us next year. Bet on it.

Remember Gunmageddon? Yeah Brown did that too.

The distinct difference is that Brown signed it, while Newsom championed and led it. Brown was rather re-active, while Newsom is pro-active.

The veto proof super majority will rule us. They don't need Gavin for anything.

Unlike many of us RKBA types they have the brains to continually register democrat and vote democrat.

That said I honestly believe they have ZERO info on issues.

Recently I talked to a young person about how Brown vetoed wildfire protection in 2016 which is directly responsible for the recent tragic fire situation.

This dimwit said wires are not political and yet criticized Trump for pointing out the mismanagement!

Plenty of gun owners vote D, but I'd bet cold hard cash in Vegas damn near none of the anti gunners vote R.

Voting D is a sure sign of stupidity no matter what. A gun owner voting D, most ESPECIALLY in CA, is extra stupid.

Even though cox is a Republican he wouldn't have much power with a super majority legislature. He seemed weak. He would of probably caved on gun control. Yes. I voted for Cox knowing he was not going to win.

He would have had veto power, which is good enough for me.

Supermajority veto-override power means nothing if the legislature doesn't ever take advantage of that ability; it's been 40 years since the last time the CA legislature overrode a veto, largely because they don't want to make a governor too mad when they still need him to sign other bills. If they override all his vetoes, they could pretty much kiss any chances of a signature on their other bills goodbye.

I wouldn't go that far. They are just the political opponents, which is why we have two major (and ton of minor) parties. As much as my views are not aligning well with the Democratic Party agenda, I acknowledge the political diversity need. Countries with one dominant party never do well.

Only some gun owners support 2A or prioritize this support over other issues. Thus, it's not stupid, really. It's just they are not on our side. I am personally aware of quite a few Christians, who are not ready to die for the Satan's followers right to exercise it.

Agreed, he'll sign every last one of them that crosses his desk.

Our only hope now is that the courts can push back someday. Or that newsom proves to be such an extremist that he alienates his loyalists, though I see that scenario as being pretty unlikely.

There is going to have to be a lot of money. The courts are not going to do anything on their own. Somebody has to hire the 2nd amendment attorneys. And pay them. No guarantees. No justice without money in this country.

Hot babes and freedom rarely go together

Unfortunately I'm not staying in CA for the weather, the skiing and surfing, or the food or babes. I'm stuck here because my family can't come with me if I go. Unless my circumstances change, nothing short of a genocide would get me to leave, and believe me it's NOT because I like it here, and I most definitely am NOT fine with the constant assault on our rights.

So, I do what I can to mitigate the damage I suffer by staying here. Sometimes that means complying, sometimes it means hiding, sometimes it means trying to rally people to fight the assault on our rights. The two things I will never do are stop fighting, and abandoning my family to flee the state. I would take up arms if I needed to before I would ever consider leaving California.

Some of you can't seem to understand that.

That’s why I have left California. I hope others do the same and strengthen the states that are not beyond help. I fought the fight voting in every election to try to swing it our way.

I have voted in every election since I was of legal age to do so. I have pushed for friends/family to do the same.

As a family we have studied bills to be voted on together. Majority are bad bills, even good bills can be robbed of funds to be put elsewhere once the funds hit California’s General Funds Account. So you have to vote carefully and make sure there are no riders in the bill.

California can burn and drown in taxes and regulations. The whole of California will look like Detroit soon enough.

Honestly, Cox is a idiot for saying this.
I don't care how pro-life you are, ain't no women, husband, brother, son, father should have to deal with a kid born from being raped from a illegal, ms-13, ted bundy, freddy ramirez... let alone his children, wife, relatives would want that if it happened on them. I guarantee.
About pro-life, most people that get abortions are people on the lower economic side, now if you force them to have children, do you realize how big of welfare we need to hand out and how many will expect it?
Just let them abort when wanted/needed.
And Just let gays be, more women for the straights. More gay men than women. That's my view.
There are ways to be Left while being Right, but I am neither.
Can we get a CA Republican candidate with somewhat left side thinking on human rights? I guarantee you we will have a winner.

I guess thats how I missed the comment by John Cox as it was in a paper that has worked diligently to take away our gun rights. An entity I might add that is a media wing of the democrat party and who I never consider having any credibility.

Are you saying that is why you didn't vote for John Cox over his position on right to life ?

Fortunately for us abortion was illegal and John Cox was born. I can see his point !

I'm just saying he had better chances with a different view to his pro life choice., allowing raped women to abort seems morally right? No?
If your significant other was raped by a illegal immigrant, a ms13 gang member, the next ted bundy, or whoevers, you would gladly accept the baby with open arms and call him/her your own and raise it as your own?

Just because he was born from rape, he doesn't think its right for anyone to be not born of rape? What a snowflake thinking.

He was better choice for gun rights, yes, but that alone won't get you elected in a state like CA.

I don't vote in state of CA, when you know which way a proposed law is going to go anyways. There has never been a proposed law that was in a deciding fate between votes under 100 since probably before we was all born. My 1 vote won't basically count in a state like CA.

Actually the pro-life christian vote is part of the progun gun coalition and they are needed to elect republicans.

No a woman who conceives after a rape (Very Rare) 5% at most, puts the child up for adoption.
By doing so the innocent child is not punished for the sins of father.
Our constitution says "there can be no corruption of blood" meaning children or family are not held responsible for the actions of the father or relatives.

Regarding the red herring abort the rapist child. Think about how many women are of not child bearing age, then add in that women are only fertile a few days a month, then figure conception rarely occurs when there is lots of stress involved and of course lots of women use birth control .

So really John Cox statement and beliefs are not the problem, which lies with a population so dumbed down by anti gun media and university's that getting another side of any topic is nearly impossible.

Californians are just that much more illiterate and stupid than other states who elect liberty loving republicans .

So women has to endure for 9 more months of hardship, maybe develop suicidial tendencies due to stress, and have to go through labor to give birth to a child of a demon?
What does Christians say about rapists? Are they more like angels/good guys or demons/bad guys?
Has he really took in consideration what most birth giving mothers, future mothers, single women want, or just something he and buncha religious (some nutcases) want?
Your birth control thing is not in line with Republican views, i remind you.
Which Republican you claim to be?

As a veteran, i learned us Men are Expendable, lets respect our women.

Im sorry my friend but once again the big democrat media has lied to you!
https://www.epm.org/resources/2010/J...d-mental-heal/

"Joan Appleton was an abortion advocate with N.O.W. and head nurse at a Virginia abortion facility. She asked herself why abortion was “such a psychological trauma for a woman, and such a difficult decision for a woman to make, if it was a natural thing to do. If it was so right, why was it so difficult?”

Appleton said to herself, “I counseled these women so well; they were so sure of their decision. Why are they coming back now—months and years later—psychological wrecks?”*

Countless women who have been damaged by abortions have said, “I had no idea this could happen; no one warned me about the risks.”

I think its extremely obvious that every position taken by the democrat party is wrong !
Whether its disarming law abiding citizens to stop criminals or fighting against CCW to prevent self defense,or criminalizing you trading a gun with your buddy w/o govt permission !

Add to that their stupid denial of earths 4 billion year history of violent climate changes and telling us earths climate was static until we started using the misnomer "fossil fuels to heat/cool our homes and transport ourselves with oil !

Sir the person who wants you disarmed is your enemy. Let that sink in and stop endorsing their stupid and destructive policies.

Read the GOP platform and realize these people are not only correct but smart !

And the GOP media has lied to you!
Do you really think that the party that started "fake news outcries" tells you the truth?
Fox News is called Faux News for a reason.

Now here I thought I was dealing with a gun owner who appreciated RKBA and truth.
Instead of admitting you have been misled based on the verifiable links Ive posted. You completely ignore the topic and ramble on about Fox News which was not addressed.

Calgunners want to know why this state is gone! I give you Demo2A which translated means Democrat troll !

sir you have embarrassed yourself !
