It's posted elsewhere but here's a PAR-1 that has been altered with a normal AK carrier (charging handle) and some stock swaps. It's still a single shot (pump action via the CH) so it doesnt require a maglock. Not a true AK but its in the family...

Nice start.
There's a slot missing in my collection for an M95. Unless you can help me find a Yugo M85 "Krink".

My saiga, just ordered the conversion parts and waiting.

One question, I am slightly confused, I was under the impression that forward grips were not allowed(AIMS grip and Hungarian AMD as example) or am I mistaken?

They are allowed as long as you have a Mag lock.

All the above manufactured by Cadiz Gun Works, and stamped as such, by law.

How funny that on the same day I was going to post to this thread someone else posts an OD Green AK. When I Duracoated mine two weeks ago I was searching and searching to find one and couldn't. Anyway, here's mine. It is a converted Saiga 7.62x39.

I have to say that AKS are one of the most beautiful rifles ever made, quick question do they make followers that lock the bolt open when empty?

Yes. There are two factory last shot hold open followers. All of the Yugoslavian mags have that feature, and one special 20 round Chinese magazine. The PSL has a built in bolt lock back that's activated when it's empty mag triggers it.

I decided to keep the streamlight scorpion flash light handguard from Arsenal Bulgaria. Discontinued item, now they make it in polymer but I like this design better.

I'll have to find another upper hand guard, since I don't want to paint the original set.

I only assist Tom, when I am in Ohio.

As far as what is in all those pictures, on this page, and the previous page, let me take a looksey and list what you all see across all those pictures -

12" AMD patterned select-fire Saiga12 with internal winchokes
14" SBS Saiga12 with perm attached old-style poly choke, TAPCO SAW PG and ACE folder
18" BBL Saiga12 with perm. attached cutts compensator, shown with full "choke" attached, Russian front handguard w/rail, TAPCO SAW PG, ACE folder
Stock Saiga12
18" BBL Saiga12 with perm. attached cutts compensator, TAPCO telescoping stock and SAW PG
19" BBL Saiga20 with TAPCO AKM butt and PG

16" bbl Legion Saiga, converted to use Russian folding mechanism and stock, US made ak74 brake

19" Saiga 410 with VZ-58 Folder perm. attached (still folding) and TAPCO AKM PG

18" BBL Saiga12 as shown in previous picture, outfitted with vert. grip, light, and 20 round MD20 drum (you shoulda seen people driving by and walking passed when we took that picture )

16" BBL Saiga308 front sight pushed back onto gas block, BBL cut, and US Krink. type FH perm attached, TAPCO butt and grip

18" BBL Saiga12 with cutts perm attached, TAPCO butt and grip, IZ-108 (ribbed sight rail model)

18" BBL Saiga12 with non-vented polychoke perm attached, CHAOS tri-rail, fiberoptic front bead sight, left side charging handle, ACE folder, TAPCO SAW PG, optics mount removed, dual tone duracoat digi camo, Promag ten rounder, pre final-assembly (5 round mag not shown also digi camo'd to match)

16" Saiga 7.62x39 with TAPCO tan furniture and mag

16" Saiga 7.62x39 with Discontinued TAPCO furniture, ak74 brake, Legion base gun

16" Saiga 7.62x39 with Russian Folder and furniture (same as the other folder above, but in different "clothes")

And that CHAOS rail on the "gunship" 12 gauge.....yeh, Mr Cameron Hadley may be a friend of mine, but I tell ya, its the BEST rail system for the saiga12 there is. It is a true military grade rail, not some cheap toy.

also, the surefire Saiga RIFLE mags (not the shotgun mags) have a metal tab in them to lock the bolt back after the last shot.

Just heading off any obvious questions before they arise....

Keep Shooting!!

Hey thanks for listing the morepoop4u mag lock idea. Im going to try that especially for the photos makes it look jsut like it should be. Since I only have 1 mag maybe top loading the rifle wont be to bad, and will let the ammo last longer. Im going to try to make one. Now if only someone can mag that into a tool operated release that would be the best seller here.

I actually prefer the Solar Tactical Bullet Button sold by duraglock. He also sells a quick mag change tab that can be installed on mags for quick tactical mag changes. It also doesn't mar-up your trigger guard when installed. Just MHO.

A guy on the AK forums made them. I ordered one of the first beta sets. It also came with the polyment handguards, but I didn't really dig it. I preferred wood HG's instead hence the current look. Thanks for the compliments. Oh by the way, it can be found here:
