Default Bay Area - surface grinder? (REMOVE ROLLMARKS)

Anyone have a surface grinder or know someone that can remove the ugly rollmarks off a slide? From what I've read it's quick and easy on a surface grinder. I plan on refinishing after the roll marks are grinded off.

thanks!

I am also considering just getting some 120 grit and going at it for hours. I was able to do my Sig myself but the roll marks were shallow. My Hi Power clone has deep uglier roll marks

I’d imagine a machine shop would do it. I had TEM Machine in Napa repair damaged threads on my KAC barrel nut. Cost $45.

If you know anyone with a belt sander, you could clamp the sander upside down in a vise and use it as a surface grinder.

Just watch your fingers!
