The High Desert PM list thread....Meets/Shoots/Hangout

Hey there everyone. I am creating this thread as a central intellegence area for local shoots, meets or local High Desert events. We can also learn and teach each other about SHTF, prepping and other subjects if desired.

This is for the Victor Valley area (Victorville, Adelanto, Apple Valley, Hesperia, Barstow etc).


I will use this thread to know and keep track of who to PM when we do a local event. So please post up the following info:
Name, Location, Age, basic info/intro about yourself.




I plan on going shooting out on the 14th, I would like to invite local calgunners to hang out. I will only know this if you post in this thread.

Adrian, Victorville, 30, I have been in the area since about 2005...my hobbies are guns obviously, cars, gardening and more guns.

Nice to see a high desert thread, unfortunately I won't be able to make it on the 14th but hopefully I'll be back in action in January.

Matt, 26, Apple Valley, Lived here locally for 18 years, I am a Paramedic unless someone does something stupid in my vicinity when I am off duty, hobbies include hanging out with my boy, offroad racing, golf, and recently buying lot of guns.

Been here since '93. Hobbies are guns/garage gun smithing (builds with other Calgunners), mountain biking, and golf ( haven't been in a while though, building has been taking up most of my time).

Good idea, nice to see some locals with the same interests.

I wish I could go shooting in the 14th but I'm a bit handicap at the moment.

I will be going shooting for sure on the 10th (given the weather is good) if anyone is up to go.

OP wants I get a high desert group together and go shooting on the 14th to Hodge road.
It's a nice spot.
But like I said, I won't be able to go shooting until next month.

im thinking either on hodge road or maybe closer to barstow at a different spot.

Its getting cold so its still up in the air right now. I would joing you on the 10th but I will be working in Vegas.

Hodge is a good place, not to cold during the day. Wouldn't be able to go on Friday, I have some work stuff to take care of

Roy, transplant from Ontario, Ca. to Hesperia in 2001. I was forced retired this past June from my teaching position of 13 years due to the fiscal problems in education, I taught auto body and loved every minute of it.
I've kept my self busy volunteering here at Ontario, Costa Mesa, Rauhagas, Temecula Rod Run, Burro Canyon zombie events over the past couple of years. (I enjoy educating the public on our current gun culture) I've had the opportunity to meet a great number of members as well as the C3 leaders who support Calguns.
My family and I enjoy shooting, I'm currently building a pink AR-15 for my daughter with plans of completing an 80% for my son next year.
I build and restore cars as time permits and of course I do builds for customers also.

I look forward to attending a get together, keep me posted!

Gary - 33, live in the HD, been here for about 18 months. Work full-time as a Firefighter/Paramedic and serve part time as a Hospital Corpsman (E6) with a Marine Corps Reserve Infantry company.

Interests - primarily hunting and fishing, outdoors.
