Default Hunting jackrabbit near Sacramento

Hello all, I just finished my hunters education course and am ready to start hunting. I want to start with jackrabbit since they're year round and no other tags or validations are required. I have a 12 gauge shotgun and have been shooting clays for years so I am proficient with it. I stumbled upon the Fremont Weir Wildlife Area near Woodland which is very close to where I live and just want to make 100% sure I'm aloud to hunt jackrabbit in this area year round. Also does anyone have experience hunting here or know of any other spots in the area to start hunting jackrabbit? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

I suggest perusing the Dept. of Fish and Wildlife website to see whether there are hunting restrictions in place.
