Default Moving from California

We have decided to move our machine shop (that makes AR-15 small parts) and relocate to Tennessee in about 6 months from now.. What do we do with all the Registered Assault Weapons we have ?.. The AR-15's I dont have a problem with just buying new lower receivers but we also have 7 or 8 AR308's of different manufacture (which I dont think I'm going to be able to buy lowers) & at least one AK .. Probably 20 firearms in all

Take them with you and don’t look back. If you do you will become a pillar of salt.

Why are you even asking? They will be nothing more than modern sporting rifles once you cross the CA boarder into OR, NV or AZ. The only problem I foresee is if they are BBRAWs and you removed the BBs and then tried to bring them back into CA.

Lock them up as required for legal transport; as you cross the river, start unlocking the containers, and prepare to load.
You could also pull over to a quiet spot and begin to restore your stolen freedoms by removing all the Kalifornia buffoonery you may have previously installed. And when you fart after that burrito lunch, think of the DOJ.

When you go stop and take a picture of the "Welcome to Arizona" sign. Send that picture with a note (your choice of wording) to BOF marked "confidential", and make sure it is postage due.

Also please "cc" it to Gov. Gavin. With a short note regarding your business joining the exodus out of CrapOfornia.

Short stop at Cabela’s or any other suitable purveyor of standard cap mags. Buy many, include photo.

California laws don’t impact residents of Tennessee.

I guess you have to deal with the fact that you've just turned your assault weapons into modern sporting rifles.

Congrats dude.

I imagine this is how it must've felt for people behind the Berlin Wall to see their compatriots make it outside the wall.

If things work out, I will be heading to Salt Lake City, Utah soon. All I can say its just not soon enough. While SLC has issues, its not so bad compared to California. Overall the trend isnt looking great in the long run for this country.

Be sure to close down any and all business licenses you have. Be sure to inform the county that your business ceased to operate in California, else they will bill taxes including Business and Property Tax.

Sadly that might not be the case. California tax man has a tendency to seek out former California residence and squeeze out more state taxes.

A former California resident received a jury award of more than $388 million after suing California's Franchise Tax Board (FTB) for its conduct in auditing him.

A former California resident received a jury award of more than $388 million after suing California's Franchise Tax Board (FTB) for its conduct in auditing him. After a 15-week trial, a Nevada jury returned a unanimous liability and compensatory damage verdict, including $85 million for emotional distress, $52 million for invasion of privacy, $1.1 million in attorney fees, plus prejudgment interest required by Nevada law. The jury then found that the FTB acted with oppression, fraud, or malice, and assessed $250 million of punitive damages.

Default Good for him

Congrats to the person suing them. I hope, just hope, that he somehow manages to make this miserable state pay the actual amount.

Be awesome if there were a way to prevent the state from forcing the taxpayers from paying for it...like making the franchise tax board pay for it out of their budget.

And that the state were enjoined from raising taxes to pay for it.

I would love to see him actually seize state property within the minimum time frame if the state doesn't pay up.

People who think they'll be safe by moving out of CA are fools. Have they forgotten who won the popular vote in the last presidential election? Do they think they'll be under some other president than the one who's president of CA too?

Same thing with the Supreme Court. RBG (and Breyer, Sotomayor and Kagan) is a justice over all of the states, not just HI, CA, MD, NJ, NY and other liberal bastions. You'll be hoping for new Trump/GOP justices after the move just like before the move.

The MSM outside of CA is just the same as within CA. Teachers and professors are just as liberal outside of CA as inside. Hollywood and it's celebrities are the same. Most of the next generation, inside and out of CA, is totally brainwashed. They have no idea, or even interest, in what America was or why.

Texas is on the verge of flipping blue. If the next Dem president and Congress give illegals the right to vote, this entire nation is done for. We'll become a 3rd world s---hole.

Yes, don't plan a route that takes you 400 miles past Tennessee into NY or NJ. Use a map of the USA instead of relying on dim grade school memories of where the states are located, lol!

Jealousy is a *****, ain't it? Must really eat you up inside to know that some of us are living completely free, paying far less taxes and overall cost to live, and have a much better quality of life than those poor souls living in CA. We're as red as red can be out here and we're loving every minute of it.

Some of you retards belong in CA, and we sure hope you stay.

I am quite happy right here! I have everything I need and most of what I want. Thank you very much. Fish, boat shoot year round all close by. Sometimes in the winter I have to wear a light jacket to shoot or fish. Mayflies hatch on sunny days in December and January. Carry permit no problem. I don't let the bastards get me down. Enjoy life where ever you are.

That's right George! You tell 'em.

'dems is too dumm to no what fee 'merica is like, where the NFA doesn't apply.

Where the GCA of '68 has no effect.

Where the '86 FOPA doesn't ban new MGs.

Where the Dem's '94 AWB was never law.

But we iz diffr'nt. You tell 'em George, tell 'em how it's gonna be.... We're gonna live off of da fat of da land! And it will never change: no red flag laws will pass at state level or apply at federal level, and no universal background checks/gun show loophole laws...

Yeah, I can see it! Right over the CA border. George, I can see it!

ETA: I see they moved this thread to a subforum for Calguns Expatriots. Arguing with those who have already fled is pointless. If they think ANY state is "free" they sure have a funny definition of free.

When you get to TN, don't forget to be active with the pro-gun groups out there.

Nashville is turning into the progressive liberal base of operations for TN and they mobilizing to turn TN blue.

CA was the blueprint.
Take over 2-3 urban areas and have enough votes to bully the rest of the State.

This blueprint was used to take over NY, NJ, CT, MD, MA, OR and WA.

It's actively being implemented in IL, CO, and FL.

Groundwork is currently being laid out in TX, AZ, and TN.

To reply to the ignorant rantings of the moron Paladin......

With the exception of machine guns, every stupid thing you posted is irrelevant in Idaho.

So let me get this squared away ... in the midst of a cultural war, running away and hiding is the courageous thing to do? And Howie, choosing the US locale that most closely resembles Siberia is sad. You and your comrades should venture into Boise some time. It is there you will experience the future of your entire state. The problem isn’t a migration of Leftists from CA, the problems is rising with the younger generation. Again, wake up brother, it’s time to fight or be consumed.

Far from jealousy. I could run away and hide just as you have and ignore the cultural war. At least for the moment. However, I feel a civic responsibility to stay, represent, and defend my hometown and the State. It is regrettable that many conservatives are narcissistic and feel no such responsibility. A good portion don't even bother to vote.

Some efforts have been made to extricate California from the Union. This can never be allowed to happen because it would subsequently bring the end of the Union itself. Anti 2A / Anti Constitutionalists are working to empty the state of conservatives to make the extrication of California a possibility. Sustaining a Conservative base in California prevents any chance of California's extrication.

Some of you retards belong in CA, and we sure hope you stay.

Please stay in your third world sanctuary state the rest of america doesn't want your liberal views anywhere other than california..enjoy paying your property taxes your ridiculous gasoline prices and helping those poor unfortunate homeless drug addicts and illegal immigrants that are inhabiting what was once the golden state ...

Keep working harder your taxes will help pay for everything Gavin Newscum wants to inflict on the working people out there

First of all, since you weren't listening the last 2 times I had to explain it to you.....
This combat Veteran didn't run from anything. I got a job offer that made it possible to relocate to a place that represents everything I find important to myself and my children. You don't know me, I don't run from ****.

Second, look at these pics. Does this look like Siberia to you? You are either completely ignorant to what you speak, or are actually seriously ****ing retarded

Yeah, I can see it! Right over the CA border. George, I can see it!

ETA: I see they moved this thread to a subforum for Calguns Expatriots. Arguing with those who have already fled is pointless. If they think ANY state is "free" they sure have a funny definition of free.
I'm moving out of CA but I still will admit this made me laugh. I actually nicknamed a cuckold husband I know Curly like the guy in that novel/movie. His wife acts exactly like Curley's wife.
