Default New Squirrel gun.... Anschutz 54.30

I got an Anschutz 54.30...

First impression,.. wow, this thing is nearly 20 lbs..

Impressed with the quality. .

And I will add and Optic and bipod.

Butt plate fully adjustable, as well as cheek piece for hight, axis, fore and aft, and trigger with same adjustments, length, weight, first and second stage break, tilt, pan, etc.

Hmm? $5000+22 for smoking ground squirrels? More power to ya OP!

What the hell are you posting here for?
Take it out and smoke some bushy tailed NEPUTs and post pics of the bloody mess with some details of how the rifle handles in the field. Ammo used? How long it takes to adjust all of the adjustables etc..

Nice, but for where I hunt I need a lighter rifle. What scope are you going with?

Depends what kind of hunting you do. If you're just shooting squirrels from your front porch, then why not?

If you're running and gunning through the woods chasing squirrels then Ya, maybe something lighter would be better.

20lbs though, damn! Even my dedicated-bench-shooter .308 AR "only" weighs 15lbs loaded, and I went out of my way to source the heaviest components I could find!

S&B Field Target II with the exact set up above.

I think I will have the only 1 in America.

Had to order directly from S&B North America and it's a 2 month wait.

Dont know, will cross the bridge when it arrives. They'll find and alternative even if it's steel covered with plastic or copper or some other alloy.

No big.

Nice squirrel rifle! Me, I’ll just take my 10/22 or my son’s 521T-JS. If I really am being a wuz I’ll take my other boy’s Marlin Papoose.

The buttstock can also assist you with celestial navigation!

I agree, I once saw a photon at a hotel, the maitre'd asked if he needed a baggage cart and the photon said, no Im traveling light.

I once saw a nice place on the moon, but decided not to go there cause it lacked a little atmosphere.

Anyway, got a bit more than I needed.

It may work out, or it may not. If not, it's going on sale for cheap...

Prolly 4K for a 9.5K rifle/scope package. (5K rifle and a 4.5K scope). If you check my sales, I always sell heavily discounted for very nice items.
