SO you vol-reg'd 80's as semiautomatic.... Im thinking that's the reason. I built mine and vol-reg'd as single shot -> no problem other than specifying cal bc I had "multi"

I submitted my AR pistols as semi auto. Both were kicked back for calibers and then my 5.56 AR pistol was kicked back for pictures. I just submitted the pictures as requested. Received my approval letters about a week ago. Entire process started in May and approved in November.

I have no idea how they decided which ones need pictures and which dont. But the one they didn't request photos for was a 9mm build.

Has anyone had to do the request for new serial number from them for their 80%? I'm curious how that time frame worksnout since it took nearly a week to get my decals from a company out of garden grove so I could do the acid engraving.

I honestly have no idea as I did mine before the deadline, mine were engraved and applications submitted before the DOJ issued serials were required.

If you engraved and volreg before the deadline you donít need another serial number. If you apply for a serial from DOJ it takes 15 days to get the serial then you have to provide pictures after you complete engraving. Mine took a week to get the number. Still waiting from the response almost 2 months after issued number and photos uploaded.
