I looked at getting one of these for a while but couldn’t justify the price tag. It has 4 holes in the base plate so you can mount it to to the floor. What I found in the reviews was that most shipping companies don’t take the time to use it

unless you know your delivery person. I highly doubt UPS, Fedex guy will put in the box for you. They will just toss it by your door as usual. they will got in trouble if they don't finish their route on time.

I have used a similar one for over a year. Bolted it down. FedEx and ups use it correctly most of the time. Amazon uses it also. USPS does not use it. Need to keep battery charged.

This is my low-tech solution. I have this exact box at my door with a laminated note saying "please leave all packages inside". It's been working for 7 years. I also make sure to tip the guys that go out of their way to hide my over-size freight on my porch.

I've got one, it bolts down to the patio BUT the screws on it are exposed on the outside, so if someone really wanted what was in the box, and had a screwdriver 5 minutes they could disassemble it. I threw a spot weld on the inside of each screw to be safe.

Delivery companies have been really good about using it. USPS not so much until I showed out guy what it was. Since then pretty much all deliveries have wound up in the box.

That's a good idea. The best thing is to keep the deliveries from being visible to passers-by. The delivery people are supposed to try to put the package out of sight, and out of weather. Many of them don't take the time, and many homes don't have anything near the front door to hide packages behind, so that's a good solution.
