Hey all,
A big part of becoming a better shooter is about setting goals and milestones. And a huge part of reaching those goals is measuring progress. This holds true with just about everything we do in life that's worth pursuing. I haven't been competing long but one thing that has always helped me in other sports and activities is having a systematic approach to tracking my practice. I've been using a simple notebook but have wanted something better.
I searched quite a bit online for some sort of tracker and really didn't find anything that I liked. Maybe there are some good trackers out there and I just didn't look in the right place. I decided to throw one together last night in Excel. I designed it to track each session and drill on a separate sheet. Right now, it's just a nicely formatted worksheet. It displays well on a tablet and also prints well to fill out manually.
I thought I would share with you guys. PM me if any of you want the file. Be happy to forward it.
This was a real quick endeavor. I may build something a bit more robust out which stores the data in a way that would make it easier to chart and do other analytics. Wanted it simple for now to make sure I'm capturing all the data points and see if I will actually use it.
Again, just sharing in case you guys want a copy. Feel free to comment if you have suggestion on how to improve.
