And another vote for Sportsman's Lodge as it is also a hotel. It's in Studio City not in Burbank but VERY close to Burbank airport. Get a room and split it with someone so there is no driving after drinkin.

Or bring a sleeping bag and rent floor space in Hoffmang's presidential suite! Sweet!

Why must you purchase a ticket on your own jet ?

Or if your jet is out of commission or AKA certification as it were just take your boat down.

My pops still has a boat and anchorage at Marina Del Rey you could berth at his 2nd slip if you like.

When you land just don't mention that your a lawyer type and you will be very welcome.

Its only my attorney type friends that he shoots at.

Ditto.. My calendar is filling up fast w/ travel and would really like to join you guys on this one.

BTW I was at RMB Enterprises in Milpitas today and Mr. RMB was unaware of this party. Whomever is organizing it might want to put out a courtesy call to the key parties.

My calendar is also filling up fast, so let us know..

Burbank is a good central point.

45minutes-1hour from central OC with light traffic
45minutes-1hour from Lancaster/Palmdale with no traffic
35-40 minutes from Long Beach with light traffic
40-45 minutes from Simi Valley
45 minutes-1hour from Ventura with light traffic

I would suggest hosting the event on a Saturday or Sunday (if that works for most folks?) starting around 5pm (sunset is around 5:30pm) so many won't hit traffic.

If you host it on a weeknight, or a Friday night, you can add about 30-40 minutes more to the estimated times listed above from OC, LB and Ventura.

Okay, it's time to move forward with this.

I have counted up the posts giving opinions on where to hold it and looked at the various venues. By the look of it Burbank has a solid lead and a clear majority. Also It makes arranging things easier because i can actually get there to deal with things!

So, after looking at the various venues it looks like Sportsman's Lodge in the Burbank area is it. It has the advantage of also being a hotel for those from up North as well.

To give time for people to clear their schedules and make arrangements I would suggest the weekend of March 15-16. Saturday night or Sunday night is the only real concern at that point, for travel Saturday might work better and leave the option for a Sunday morning run up the road for a shoot at Angeles as well!

So, chime in and let me know if that weekend works!

March 15-16 would be pretty bad. Arguments in Heller are on the 18th which means I'm flying on the 17th and that's a lot of nights away from the family.

How about the next weekend?

Oh, that's a good point, didn't think of the Heller arguments.

Okay we'll try March 22-23rd instead.

Sounds great and it's post Heller arguments so Hoffmang can debrief. Hey can you or some of the "right people" invite Gura and or Levy too?

I think Gura plans on being on a beach somewhere with a heightened BAC.

Yes, the Crossroads show will be at Costa Mesa on March 29th and 30th. If we make it that weekend, why don't we try to find somewhere in Orange County to have the dinner? That way we could go to the gunshow on Saturday and have the dinner right afterwards. What could be better than that!

Orange County or Burbank is a good place , not in the City of Los Angeles.
March 29th or 30th is good too. I also like the idea of going to the gun show .
