Default Learn from my mistake - Don't put bore snakes in the washing machine

So I've put one at a time in, and they turned out OK. But after the annual day after turkey day of shooting, I had half a dozen and through them all in. They came out.....

And the washing machine needs a washing now:

SO...Now I have contaminated my washing machine, along with my oven with the bake on coatings. good thing I am not married....

I was taught to clean them in the sink with tide by hand and let them air dry.

Yeah that is what the instructions said (now that I have read them), WTF is a garment bag?
I don't own any clothes that need their own bag to wash them in.....

Whoops. Do you not think you'd be alive if you were married? Some of us got lucky with our wives and they just ask us to move our stuff over so they can make dinner. I have been known to demill a parts kit and degunk the cosmoline with mineral spirits at the kitchen counter.

Running a filthy cord through your gun just leaves filth behind.

garment bag = bag to put delicate stuff in so the washing machine doesn't beat the hell out of it. Or you could just wash the things in the sink.

Yow! Hopefully you didn't mix the soiled bore snakes with your underwear when doing laundry. Don't want lead particles rinsed around with boxers that touch your man organs.

DISHwasher, not clothes washer!

Wrap it around the tines in the upper rack so it won't get hosed to the bottom.

Nope. Garment bag is for stuffing full of cans of beer while floating on an tube or raft in the river, and dangling beer into river water to keep it cold. Much cheaper, easier and more convienant than an ice chest!

You're supposed to put an ice chest inside the middle of a tube then inflate the tube. That way you don't have to worry about your bag getting snagged and losing your beer.

But then you have to carry the ice chest, and an extra tube.

I grew up in Chico...done the Sac float to Scotties THOUSANDS of times. Just about every day, every spring summer and fall, for 8 years. Sometimes twice in a day.

I'm not a fan of washing stuff with carbon, oils, and solvents in my washer, so I would go with a a good handwashing next time.

It would appear that you have just invented the "Swiss Army version of Bore Snakes" Is that the universal one size fits all unit?

Simple, and it seems effective enough for bore snakes. I like it.
