Default benchmade bali-song #42 Ti.

Hello all , I have a chance to pick up a Benchmade bali-song with titanium handles #42 .... in the box with sheath and paperwork.... should I buy it ?............... update ..... to late is sold to someone else.... yard sale ! guess the guy passed and the wife was selling his stuff.

there was also a spyderco Bob Lum C46PS NIB # on blade is 676 (?).....thought it was a good buy...

what would a #42 benchmade have been worth ?

Love the late Bob Lum stuff!

Is the source for the balisong trusted? Thatís a great price, a little too great, if you know what I mean. But if itís legit Iíd sweep it up quick. (Condition dependent of course)

thought so.... but I'm not "up" on the cutlery world , the #42 is gone... looked cool.... not sure if those are kosher to buy now-a-days (?)

the most expensive knife I own is a Ka-Bar

I like the Lum , good solid knife .. and NIB... think it's a Ti. handle , have to do some homework on it.

The Benchmade 42 can go for ~ $400 all day everyday from what I’ve seen.

There are more details to it than that of course, variants etc, which I’m not that familiar with either but that gives a baseline.

Benchmade 740 Dejavo designed by Lum is one of my all time favorites.

eta: Check out examples of his stuff here: https://www.arizonacustomknives.com/...r/lum-bob.html

I've seen very high quality fakes.

One guy had a pair at an Oklahoma gun show a few years back- cheap-ish (100-150), but I collect these, and they didn't quite look right.

A non collector may have been taken- these were good quality fakes. Maybe 90% good.
