I was told by an employee at the Florin Rd store in Sacramento that there was no more available and that the deal was over. This occurred on Sunday....what a bummer.

Glad you guys were able to get one.

Picked up my 308 today. A very fine rifle, it was $300 well spent.

Went out for some range time this morning and the barrel has finally settled in after 60 rounds through it. Prior to today the grouping was sporadic and had no consistent pattern.

These are all the groups I shot with Federal GMM 168gr. The rifle shoots and I am happy with it!

Similar experience with mine; big spread until about the fifth box but my last two 3rd groups with 175gr were touching.

anyone find a great deal on the mdt oryx? I'm debating if I should get that as a value stock, or just splurge on the MPA competition chassis for around $800

Im really thinking about it since its on sale at turners for 379 with your choice of colors. If you pruchase from the website it only comes in od green but at turners you can get it with the black or FDE panels.

Yeah that's what I'm seeing online. Only OD green. I'm debating if I should just eat instant noodles only for a few days to save funds for the FDE.... haha

I was at the Roseville store last night. They had 3 in stock. I checked it out. At 9+ pounds before scope and ammo, it's heavier than I wanted.

Ended up buying the Ruger American Predator in 6.5, which is what I came in for. $419 on sale.

Are they still honoring the $300 price?

Yep, until gone. They told me the sale ends 9/19/2019 or until they run out.

I do want one, but I do live by a thing called a budget, aka wife

For me, the 1 gun every 30 doesn't matter because she'd kill me.

At my local turners theres signs posted up

" NO LONGER TAKING DEPOSITS ON HOWA 1500"

Like he said call before you go and ask for a manager dont ask anybody else or you just going to get passed around until they figure it out, which will be the manager. Im pretty good with the guys at my turners, and they told me they got screwed doing that special after the first 600 was sold. He said they are taking a loss. Not technically but after you figure in over head, payroll, etc... they are taking a loss with the small profit margin selling them at 299.99.

The Burris is one of the only ones that is steel and has a recoil lug, which was a requirement for me.

Need to stay as low as possible to get a cheek weld with this stock; I switched from the high to low 0.9" Vortex Pro Series rings on a Talley 20 MOA mount.
Diamondback 6-24 clears with room for the shade and probably a flip cap too.
Might upgrade the glass eventually but as my first FFP the small eyebox is my only real gripe.

Today I rang the 1000yd gong repeatedly with some $1 LAX 175 grain HPBTs.

Anyone install a brake yet?
