Yup, was just there and they gave me the sale price today. Although their internet was down, so they'll have to finish everything up later.

Yeah, I'll be taking an early lunch tomorrow. If I can't get it, oh well. Maybe the next sale.

As you saw CA Deplorable, the guys in the manual subforum are extremely serious, a bit too serious for me considering that I'm not going to compete or anything. I appreciate their input, but what they're all saying is too unrealistic for me. I'd worry what they say if I said Vortex scope, ha.

If this falls through, I'll probably get a 10/22 or another handgun.

Haha, yeah, they are serious over there. Make sure to drop at least a grand on your scope. Haha. And spend $2 per round.

I'm doing a PPT at San Marco's store in a few hrs. I'll ask to honor the price. San Bernardino has done it before.

I was eyeing $500 for the scope. If I really enjoy it, then yeah I will. But I'm usually cautious when it comes to picking something new up that everyone dumps big money into on day0.

I've seen .308 match go for about $1 each, even during the turners sale. I don't have problems getting 1.5 or 2MOA with your run of the mill 308 ammo either.

That's a smoking deal, considering I paid $226 for this one:
https://www.brownells.com/rifle-part...?sku=100805024

I paired it with with a cheap Hogue stock ($114.71) and $20 transfer fee, for the grand total of $360.71

I wish I could buy this one from Turner's

Scored one at the Roseville store. They have 4 left as of this post.

Great price for a rifle that Iíll use as a base for upgrading. Hell, the full rifle is cheaper than the barrelled actions Brownells is selling.

And if you're looking to swap out the stock later, take a look at MDT chassis and their buttstocks.

Here's a nice budget friendly chassis for the Howa.

It looks like Oryx and MDT are the same company, I posed questions to both and the same guy replied to me.

Yea I thought they looked very similar. Have an MDT ESS on a build. I'd buy an Oryx for this deal though.

I like the 300 dollar price point as a brush gun or a hunting gun but when you start adding a 300-400$ chassis to it then your to 600-700$. I saw a add for a 308 rpr for 799$. Wouldn’t that be the better way to go? Just a thought.

Except for this, you get what you want. A chassis rifle sub 700, with a design that you like. So that's the bonus of it, I'd say.

This is not a brush or hunting gun unless you take a quad to a blind and never walk anywhere. Its 24" and its heavy.

Yes, but I requested one. They should've asked if you had a safe, else they would've made you buy one. You got swindled for $6. Try to get a refund on it, if it's worth it to you.

If someone doesn't have a safe or an California approved locking container, they are required to buy a NEW lock from the dealer... you can't bring in a lock you currently have and use it.

It's one of the dumbest things. I know a lot of people with literal buckets full of cable locks. I know I have 15-20.

Not all guns come with a CA DOJ approved lock. They're definitely supposed to ask if you have a safe.

The salesman asked if I had a safe so he wouldn't need to add a lock. But since they were out, I had to pay in full so when more come in, I'll get mine.

This kept me away from buying one. The price is great but I need a 380 bolt gun for hunting. I still plan to go check them out this week.
