Default 8/10-11/2019 | CCW Street Defense (Live-Fire + FoF) | SF Bay Area [$495]

Class: CCW Street Defense
Type: Live-Fire, Force-on-Force, and Hand-to-Hand
When: 8/10 - 8/11, 9:00am-5:00pm
Where: Richmond, CA (RRGC) | Novato, CA (Shoothouse)
Cost: $495
Link: https://threatscenarios.com/classes/...nse2day-aug10/

Our Concealed Carry Street Defense class is for intermediate level participants who have previously undergone force on force training.

Day 1 will consist of live-fire and hand to hand combatives training on a 180 degree range. You will practice rapidly drawing your handgun, engaging targets, and seeking points of cover. Additionally there will be a weapons retention segment of the class where you will learn to effectively strike and establish distance against an assailant (empty hand or holding a weapon) in order to get to your firearm.

Day 2 will be run in our nearby shoothouse and will place you in four real-world CCW scenarios while armed with a UTM converted Glock 17 handgun. The focus will be placed on use of force and your decisions about if and when to escalate.

Our instructors will take you through the tactical, legal, and emotional considerations of threatening encounters which a CCW holder might face outside the home. Over the two day course, you will:

* Practice high speed close quarters firearms engagement.
* Learn practical techniques to disarm, strike, and disable an adversary.
* Assess threats while maintaining situational awareness and controlling space and distance.
* Handle aggressive adversaries on unfamiliar ground.
* Debrief your plan and your decisions in a group environment.
* Participate with our roleplayers in four real-world scenarios in which you will be carrying a firearm.

Our scenarios are not simply “shoot/no-shoot” exercises, and our dedicated roleplayers are not just living targets. They are characters, all of whom have different priorities and motivations. Some will run, some will fight, some will negotiate. All will react to you, including how you carry yourself and when and if you decide to present your weapon and shoot. There are multiple paths to choose, and each choice will be discussed at length in a group setting with students and staff.

In this class, our roleplayers and participants will be armed with the same UTM converted Glock 17 handguns used in law enforcement training and will be shooting UTM Man Marker Rounds. Roleplayers will react realistically when hit.

This class is suitable for intermediate level shooters who have taken our entry-level Home Defense Scenarios class, or who have previously conducted force on force exercises during vocational training (MOUT, law enforcement, etc). While we are more interested in testing your decision-making, participants should be confident in their ability to safely operate a firearm. Please view our FAQ for more information.
