Default Blackhawk Diversion Carry Workout Bag $29.99 plus tax/shipping

I've been looking for a discrete case for an AR Pistol. This looks like it will work.

Blackhawk Diversion Carry Workout Bag $29.99 plus tax and shipping. If you add more to the cart totaling more than $50 then it ships free.

I got one of these. It barely fits a 16" barreled carbine AR with the stock removed, but easily fits a couple of separated uppers and lowers. Also does a good job of NOT looking like it's carrying a gun or gun parts. Awesome product.

Question

If it barely fit 16" AR without stock. And you transport the AR upper and lower separated, wouldn't the normal gym bag work? Or the normal gym bag couldn't hold the weight?

What's the occasion that you need to bring the rifle incognito around? I am curious since I can see we carry handgun for self protection but not sure about rifle.

I have an AR pistol on my CCW with an arm brace. It fits neatly inside the bag with magazine inserted. Great trunk gun for one of my CCW guns in a "gym bag." Plenty of space for extra magazines, tourniquet, etc.

Got one, a couple of shirts and some 5.11 shoes.

I’ll need a sheath if I need to break the AR in two. Split into two is acceptable for what I want this for. When travelling by car, I’ll feel better with a rifle in the back in such a discreet carrier.

It's got way too many access points for Kalifornia.

Got mine. Nice quality bag.
The bad. The end zippers are not designed for locks.

Can anyone give me their opinion?

If I used twisted stainless wire to disable the end zippers, is that a locked container?

Yeah I've got some sketchy neighbors too, and it's a bit of a walk to get from the front door to the garage or driveway (garage isn't accessible from inside home)
