Thanks, ordered one. Noticed Brownells and Midwayusa also had for same price but out of stock. Wonder if they are being discontinued?

I ordered one as well. Looking forward to trying it out. It's possible they are closing them out. The are also the same price on Nikon's site, but they have shipping costs.

Thanks. It could be a better option for some. It adds $9.30 sales tax for me, but if using a Amazon Card for the purchase that gives 5% back it is mostly offset. You will definitely receive it faster.

Thanks anhzx. Unfortunately too late for me, but I'm sure will help others.
I updated the title to reflect your cheaper price and the first post to kind of combine all of the of the places discounting this red dot.

I'm seeing $116.95 at SWFA. ETA: Doh, add to cart for savings.

Does anyone have any experience with these?

Nikon currently has a sale going on the Superdot and many of their scopes and binoculars via dealers. I think the sale ends in early October.

Think this covers most complaints.

R.Mellino

3.0 out of 5 stars
Clear and a great size but limited applications due to being so new! May 29, 2018
Verified Purchase

Please note the 4 Star is only because of limited mounting! Remember this dot isnít even a month old so slide mounting or different picatinny mount options will be limited if any at all!

I checked this out at a local Cabelaís and compared it to a Leupold Delta Point Pro 2.5 MOA because I already have a DPP at home and decided the DPP will go on a G34 MOS and the Spur will go on my PCC.

My Spur arrived today and the first thing I did was remove the picatinny mount to see if this optic shares a footprint with any other popular optic such as Burris, Trijicon, and Vortex.

THIS MICRO DOT DOES NOT FIT ANY OTHER MOUNT!

I used all the plates that I had for my Glock MOS and all the locator tabs do not fit the holes of the spur and only the Burris plate has the same thread pitch/bolt size.

If you were hoping it matched an RMR or a Vortex because you already had a mount, youíre out of luck. Nikon used their own proprietary mounting footprint for this dot.

The lens clarity is amazing, the color is true to the human eye where as my DPP has a minor blue hue/tint. The dot itself is closer to an orange instead of a red but is very crisp. There is also a very minor magnification through this glass, it is not a true 1x lens. Otherwise there is no hazing around the edges of the glass like what Iíve seen on the RMR. Great quality lens.

The lens/window is roughly 27x17mm where as the Delta Point Pro is roughly 27x18mm, so the window isnít as tall but still gives a good field of view.

Itís very light, has a (supposed) 15k hour battery life, and is under $230.

Itís definitely a nice little red dot but I think the delta point may still be a better option if you want to tuck away the extra cash for it. Don't forgot at this point time of my review, the only real mounting option for the Spur is picatinny rails only, unless you're getting a slide milled for the dot and only that dot.

!!!!6/3/18 UPDATE!!!!
Dropping down to 3 stars now, sorry Nikon.

I hit the range today with the dot installed on my PCC and got it all zeroed. The windage and elevation adjustments don't have an audible or tactile "click" like many other optic adjustments, it just glides (similar to a Burris FastFire III) so if you aren't paying attention it's possible to over adjust on those fine adjustments. The dot isn't that bright at all. I had it on the brightest setting and while it was visible, it didn't pop like many other dots in pure sunlight against a black or brown target. With this brightness issue, it's difficult to follow the dot when transitioning from target to target quickly. I'm using this PCC for USPSA matches so I need to see my dot at all times when moving through a course and engaging both paper and steel targets.

I'm leaving the dot on my PCC for this coming Sunday for a match and then returning it the next day and getting a second Delta Point Pro. In my honest opinion, if you can afford to pony up the extra $140 or for the Delta Point Pro, I would say absolutely do yourself a favor and get that over this!

Thanks, OP
Ordred one for my little .22LR

You're welcome. I got mine intended for a 22LR as well. Tonight is the last night for the SWFA deal. Ends at midnight CST. Then it's back to $120.

Tactical.....clue I did not pick up on
For some reason Nikon decided to use a short screw into a squared off mount.
So it will not fit my .22LR as others had complained about.
Square peg into a round hole.
The ones that noted the problem should of explained why it did not fit.
This would help more than giving 1 star.
Soooooo......

Going on my 12g.

Maybe down the road someone will make adapter plate for it.
Only found one for a Glock.

@foothillman

Your 22A-1 Has a weaver mount instead of a mil-spec Picatinny. If you get a weaver to Picatinny adapter you shouldn't have any issues mounting the P Tactical to your .22LR.

Something like these.

Thanks good idea.
The smaller one will have minimal height increase.
Not a collectors handgun so........

Decided to go "MosinVirus" on my rail.
Luckily it all worked out and fits snug.
Ordered another for my HD/12g

I bought one of these a little while ago. It's a great value for around $100. Only thing I have a problem with is the very outer edges of the viewing window seem to not protect the red dot. There's also one spot in the middle of the window where the red dot dims. I don't know if it's an issue with the coating or what. I'll eventually send it in and hopefully they'll give me a replacement.

Priced raised everywhere else except Brownells. Not sure how long that price will stay? it is OOS and able to backorder. I have had good success, in the past, with Brownells backorders.
