Default Does the sale of a handgun to an FFL count as 1 of your 5 annual PPT's?

Interested in learning whether the sale of a handgun to a local FFL gun store counts as 1 of your 5 annual handgun ppt's. Since I have never gone this route, I wasn't sure if the transfer was to the FFL or to the owner of the FFL. Any insight on the matter would be great.

I would guess it does. You can search and find a lot about the 1 in 5 situation.
There seems to be a lack of enforcement on the issue from seeing what others
on here have experienced.

A sale to a dealer is NOT a ppt, since the dealer is a party to the transaction. Hence the limit on private party transactions does not apply.
CPC 27545
Where neither party to the transaction holds a dealer’s license issued pursuant to Sections 26700 to 26915, inclusive, the parties to the transaction shall complete the sale, loan, or transfer of that firearm through a licensed firearms dealer pursuant to Chapter 5 (commencing with Section 28050).
This is neither legal advice nor a legal opinion.

If the owner takes it personally, it's a ppt. If it goes into his books, then no.
