I figured a way for the SCAR but it will take some creative design to get it done. Time to leverage my 3D printer.

Prototype and thmpr - Have you guys handled and disassembled a SCAR? It is almost a press/interference fit between the upper and lower (again as I think you know a fore-aft sliding motion to disassemble). It takes quite a bit of force. Seems to me this is one of the most significant problems with any such even loosely related compliance approach.

I went over to my cousins to see the Scar and again my solution will probably work but again without being able to produce thousands of them i would probably be able to produce as a one off or per order production and that would have to come with a big price tag. As much time as i have spent with R&D on all my other products it unfortunately would have to be the high hanging fruit. But i'll keep an open mind about it. If people absolutely love my other products I may take the chance but all my money after this is going into redesigning the whole AR platform rifle. I've got a lot on my plate.

FunSwitch, TacPush, TacSwitch, QuickTac, QuickSwitch, SwitchFlip, SwitchLoad, R.E.S or R.E.D (rapid engagement switch/device), i feel like an abbreviated title really fits this product for sme reason, like the magpul B.A.D. lever. Maybe a little motto too, "Violently Compliant", haha Jk! Good luck man, cant wait to get my hands on one.

MAJOR UPDATE

Hey guys.

Just to let you know we are wrapping up this contest on Monday so get your suggestions in.

I am awaiting final changes on the pins from my machinist over the weekend and will be putting in a production order for the ?switch hopefully over the weekend.

So we need a name for it. AR Maglock is in full production on their new generation arms that will complement the ?Switch.

We are also placing a production order on Speedswitch as well so everything should be coming in within weeks.

Because the ?Switch works best with the AR Maglock in terms of clearing double feeds look to it first on their website as I still have things to work through on my website but would prefer to get the product to you guys ASAP.

Again get your names in and we will announce the winner as soon as we get the team on it!

Thanks again guys for your patience and participation.

I need some clarification. Is your ?switch all that is needed to make a rifle compliant? Or, a AR Maglock is also needed with your ?switch to make rifle compliant?

?switch needs a maglock device to make it compliant. With the new AR Maglock arm made specifically for the ?switch you can clear double feeds. something no other system can do.

?switch will also work with other devices as mentioned in the first post that require minimal opening to operate.

installing ?switch alone will not make the rifle compliant until you add a maglock device.

"Safety Switch". Play their game and flip it. It would be tough for the antis to argue against more gun safety...

The featureless guys will watch the video and know what it does.

The antis will have a hard sell with their talking points saying a Safety Switch is a "loophole".

We don't need a cool name...We need something that will survive all of the new common sense gun laws.

Wait so your preferred mag locking device to compliment the ?switch is from the company that was threatening to sue everybody else that came up with a new mag lock design? Am I missing something here people?

Already discussed. This thread or the other one. Answer is no. Should be entirely obvious if you have ever open the upper/lower on both platforms. Entirely different. Not even close...

I had actually been thinking about that and it is possible but it makes it problematic if you want to completely take down the upper you’d have to remove the detent pin which means taking apart the buffer assembly. Or completely come up with a different design. It can be done but again we run into how many we can produce and keep the cost down doesn’t make it really viable u fortunately

But last night I was testing some methods since I shoot left handed as well (not exclusively) and I came up with a few creative ways to release the magazine.

Again something I can Q&A on an Instagram live feed if anyone is interested

Dude I'd love it if you could. I 7nderstand the business side may make it difficult.

But I'm a proud southpaw and hate having to use right oriented things. I'm gonna follow you instagram.

Well I think you're best bet for this is actually to buy the JT pin and either take a dremel and cut a channel on the pin for right side use in other words left hand. Because their release channel runs along the top of the pin you dont have to do anything special to get the pin out. a machine shop with a lathe might be able to cut the channel as well as the radius channel that will get you into the JT release channel.

OF course the other option is to take your lower to a machine shop and have them drill a hole for the detent on the left side of your buffer tower. THEN you can get our pin and have all the benefits our pin offers.

@protohyp you mentioned previously these would be for sale on the ARMAGLOCK site or yours. Do you have a link for yours?

I have an AR pistol build and a 10mm PCC build patiently awaiting your product.

My $.02 on a name would be the DiscoReco switch or D/R switch. Term we used when cycling ghost issues with software in our weapons/comms/radar systems instead of actually troubleshooting the main cause, while in the military. Stands for disconnect/reconnect because when all else failed, just unplug it then plug it back in. Worked 100% of the time!

I don't have the link yet as i'm completely redoing the site to accommodate Speedswitch, ?Switch and freedom follower. It will launch around the same time and will provide the link or have the link available via social media. I dont want to break policy here on CG for any reason.

Hey guys.

I’m going to do a live feed on instagram tomorrow night Monday April 9th around 7:00.

It’ll be my first feed and I’m ok with doing it for even 1 person but if you have questions join on in.

I’ll also be revealing the winner and names of the pins.

Hope you can all join there.

Here is my profile link.

I don't understand the difference between the hyperswitch and the kingpin and it still needs a stop so the receiver wont swing open too far

edit I understand the differences now

thank you guys that joined tonight. sorry for the bad connection..but its still on my profile page so if you want to watch it its still up.

and the new name of the pin is KINGPIN and Speedswitch is now HyperSwitch

Thanks 'new shooter' for suggesting that name. A lot of you guys came up with some really good stuff! and I actually have another pin design coming out that will need a name so we might recycle the contest suggestions for that.

Thanks again.
