I'd be interested. In the OP, doesn't the sling loop get in the way of mounting an optic rail. I bought an E93 V3 and it interfered with the optic rail (i.e. prevented QD of the optic rail). If it doesn't interfere with the optic rail, I'd be interested in one with the sling loop, if it does then I'd be interested in one without the sling loop.

The sling loop does get in the way of mounting an optic on the rail, but it doesn't take long to remove a pistol grip and get the sling loop out of the way for mounting. The cleaning kit in your butt stock should have a flat head screw driver in case your out in the field. I'll look into changing the angle of the sling loop, but as is it seems to help for ergonomics when the rifle is being carried.

I like sling loop options, but not at that position. I had a similar sling mount on an AK and wasn’t a fan.

But I’m interested in a couple of these without the loop for both a stamped and milled receiver. Sign me up!

I was thinking of a sling loop that goes straight out instead of angling up. I would have to keep it short maybe 5/8 or 3/4 inch to not poke into people.

For now I'll just concentrate on the important part the thumb.

How difficult would it be to turn the thumb rest 45 degrees? The issue I see with the flat ledge is having your thumb bent at a 90 for long periods during a class or all day range session.

Anyway you can add a pic showing your grip on it?

Here's a comparison of the AK Universal grip vs the AR15 Exile grip.



I tested making a ramp 30 degreeish, it didn't add any comfort. Straight across is better for keeping your trigger finger naturally straight.

I'll also have an optional foam pad under the rubber available. Its adds a good level of comfort. I'm currently looking into the most cost effective black finish to put on it so the price isn't set. I'm getting closer to having everything wrapped up. Also working on a little website for it.

This is for the AK only not the AR. That pic of the AR is the exile machine back fin to compare the hand position vs the AK thumb grip.

Yes it is reversible/ambidextrous for left handed people if you have a loose grip nut like a regular akm wasr for example. Like this grip nut >

I just received 2 in the mail and they fit great. I mounted one to a converted Saiga and another on my Bulgarian triangle folder. These make a big difference in how secure of a grip I have in combination with my traditional grip fins.

I was surprised at the nice level of finish, considering this is the first production run.

Definitely not as deadly as a plain pistol grip. The gun did not try to assault anyone after installing it. But I thought I overheard it contemplating whether or not to do some assaulting. I'll be keeping an eye on it for now.

Love it, It improves the overall package given that it has to be featureless. If I brought another AK, I'd definitely buy another one.
