The uses for our hanger are limited only by your imagination.
An indoor range operator asked me if there was any way to hang a tire on my system to reduce bullet splatter and collect spall. 5 minutes later I came up with this system.

Targets over 10 lbs will lock the hanger onto the post and not move even when hit with 12 gauge slugs. For lighter targets we developed the FAIL SAFE HANGER which captures the plate on the hanger and uses a post clamp to prevent the hanger from walking down the post.

Sweet item, any chance you are working in a v shaped apparatus to shield the t post from errant shots(high will lock it to post, low will just chew thru post) yea my buds miss a lot..
Thinking a 2" angle iron???

Most of the time a bullet just knocks a chunk out of the post so the hanger doesn't get locked in. If it does get locked in a pair of vice grips or cresent wrench will break off the offending piece easily..... T Posts are brittle.

I have about 50 targets set up at the Hang Fast Range and most have been there for 3-5 years. I haven't had a problem with targets getting locked in from high shots. Yes, it can happen but it is the exception rather than the rule. I've only had to get the vice grips out a couple times.
T Posts are so cheap (under 5 bucks) that trying to "save" them can be a waste of precious shooting time.

Another way to deal with the problem is this.... just stack targets.
( I miss a lot too ;-)
This is my 500 yard rifle target and it's been in place for 4 years and at least 1000 rounds. The post is still pristine.
