Thatís funny, I rather have the 1:9 even for my AR.

I sell the Slings made from 1.5" Nylon Belt Material on my Website, I have one on virtually every modern gun I own including all my Tactical Shotguns. All are side mounted. Same sling works on all styles of long guns.

Side Mounting is the only way to mount a sling as it allows for all forms of carry and keeps the gun laying flat against you so the magazine isn't constantly poking you.

If they didn't work perfectly I wouldn't be using them !!!

Randy

Nice stuff. Thank you for the info!

The 1/7 is better for the 77 grain MK262 MOD 1. Both my ARs are 1/7 including my retro GAU-5/P carbine.

I do not have a machine shop so I used a vise and threaded by hand. If you set the TAT halfway out and leave room for the barrel to enter it has plenty of room and stays straight when you hit the TAT just keep backing it out one turn at a time.

Shoot? Yep, pretty well. MOA or a hair under. Feed? Well, that's another story. 3 from a factory five or there was a guy on here saying he gets 4 in a 6.8 mag with a cut down spring. The issue is, of course, that the Grendel uses the 7.62 bolt face, but is designed to feed in 5.56 mags. Had this built in the off list lower days though, when it seemed a flush fit mag might not be the worst strategy in Cali. Which is why I made my -14 Target resemble the 10-22 Target silhouette as well.

And, honestly, this one shows better in pictures, and Carl from ASI is a master, but the Target was done by Great Western (GunDoc), who was a well known mini guy. It's actually HK semi gloss, which I'm not good enough to photograph well. He cut it down to just behind the "threads", added the brake, did his action job, bedded it in the laminate. It is a little too black and gray (my fault, and stock availability was an issue), but it pops more in person. Great shooter as well.

Why aren't you using M30 mags ? The 6.5 Grendel is just a necked down AK Case, my Bro in law has one and I feed him all the good brass AK cases I find at my range, that he simply runs thru a sizing die and trims and then loads.

Seems like it should feed perfectly off a regular Mini 30 magazine?

Randy.

You'd think, right? Doesn't work though, too much taper IIRC.
